The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

So, what exactly does the certificate of interest signify?
That you're interested in updates and want to be notified when they come available. That's it.
And they're doing that by emailing everyone on the list when there's a blog post, and they're also alerting people by email at least 3 times when there is stock available. Seems fair to me.

asalaw can you rotate the discs while they're in their "clicked in" position? I was just curious if it was possible to spin them to read which is which and then rotate the text back out of view when you're done without having to remove them.

It doesn't seem to be doable. When they click in, it's pretty snug. I just leave them alone and use the override screen anyway. Much easier than juggling the disks.

Never got to use this one. Shame to let it go to waste... :p

Is the mechanism pretty durable? With that many separate catches, I'm a bit worried about them breaking. Wasn't sure how fragile they were.

They don't feel fragile at all. If anything, it's a little tricky to get the disks to seat until you get used to the way it works. You have to push all the way in till it clicks. In any case, though, like I said, I'm not planning on fiddling too much with them. The override screen is much easier.

Changing the subject entirely, why does this chick look so... oddly familiar? :p

"Your outie is obsessive, and owns many replicas from television and motion picture productions."

"Your outie 's house is large, and contains rooms in which to display them."

Really? I'll give it another shot. It's charging now.

EDIT-- Yep. You can turn them while they're in. Just turn upwards and they rotate just fine.

Man, after ALL that and you still need to RTFM? I figured you've read it enough for all of us so I just instinctively ask you.

Seriously though, that's good to know. I was hoping that would be the case.

I have, and you can...

Happy to help. :)

Can't resist yet another meme though...

My only complaint so far, and it's a small one, is I can't get a ship malfunction to appear on the status screen. I keep clicking in and out of it, but it always shows "All critical sensors in nominal range." Never thought the Enterprise being just fine would bother me. :p

And another Easter egg! Steve Pielock posted this over on Fleet Workshop. On the Engineering screen, on the bottom row of the display, just to the right of the door sensor, there's a disks display. It reads which disks are seated or not! In this photo, I've popped out disks 5, 4, and 3. Amazing!

So the shipping saga continues….

Since I can’t order a tricorder or clear the order with the screwed up payment - I went ahead & ordered a $10 tardis keychain from Amazon uk as a test.

It was shipped and looked like it was getting delivered this week.

This morning I got a message it was turned around and going back.

At this point it almost sounds like malicious compliance by customs on our side..…
