The "Hey you wanna see a movie?" was just something used to reveal humanity, commonality, and to show us that Carol isn't always just killing people. That she can also recruit them, especially now that she is a "queen" so to speak, I think it was important for the writers and the actress herself to do somehting more than just be a wrecking ball all the time. As much as I like the "light people on fire for messing with my son" Carol. Hahaha.
I'm going to miss the relationship between Beta and Negan from the comics. Now that they are going a very different route with both characters. I knew it would be different, but man those two had a couple scenes that cracked me up in the comics.
As for guns and bullets, reloading supplies, etc, I made the same points in the season 7, and season 8 threads here that anybody remotely connected with the real life gun community would know that every other garage or basement in most small towns probably has a reloading machine of some kind, supplies to feed it, and a country with hundreds of millions of guns, well, they aren't going to run out. But it's a show about the undead, I do not expect reality here. Ya know?

Making gunpowder from scratch, well, we do it. Lots of folks know how to. I think there would be plenty of that going on, like there has been for hundreds of years. The producers of the show are just consciously moving away from guns, because, well, because they want to. I think they want to do something more primitive.
With only 3 more episodes in the season, I don't expect the narrative status quo to change much. The season will probably end with the festive going on and if that's anything like the comics, it kicks off a much bigger storyline. Guess we'll see.
