The Walking Dead - Season 6 Discussion

Just caught up with last week and this week--two really good episodes in a row. I especially like how we see what's going on in Abraham's mind re: Rosita vs Sasha without being hit on the head with it. The writers are showing a little restraint of late. I appreciate it. Rick is even providing a little levity with some badass one liners. So...keep up the MOMENTUM TWD!

another great episode, i can't wait for next week. finally going from always being a defensive group, to now just going all out and taking what ever they want!!

Now I'm worried about the group. If Negan is as bad-ass in the show as he is in the comic as I've heard, things are not going to go well.

i dont remember if it was negan or one of his thugs but someone beat a 16yr old kid to death in front of everyone just to said the message of how things works... they sound like very big badasses to me. i didnt read this far into the comics so I'm lost in the dark now... I'm curious to see how this goes.

maybe our heros are in for a rude awakening?

I'm caught up on the comics. It only gets better from here on. :)

idk i was super impressed with the whole zombie invasion into alexandria. that i think has to be the best scene/episode I've ever seen. i trust you though ;) thanks for the great news :thumbsup

I know what you mean. I'm still in the Prison story for the comics, but read about some things taking place after that (such as Alexandra and Negan). So I'm just as much in the dark.

I agree, it might be one hell of a rude awakening. Maybe they'll understand that they're not as bad-ass as they thought.

i hang around my local comic shop and i have to always yell at the spoiler warnings because they are always talking about the difference between the show and comic.. lol I'm excited to see whats to come. i love how the stuck with carl getting his eye shot out, i honestly didnt think they were going to follow through with it when the fight in the garage was over and the ron didnt shoot him. then surprise surprise next episode bang, i didnt think they would have written that in. i find it very graphic with him being so young

Yeah that was hilarious! I haven't read the comics, but I was saying, hey there's some middle ground here. Let's go recon these guys and then maybe try to take them out. I keep thinking that they might be a larger group than Rick thinks.

I love Abraham.

That is all.

The characters have gotten really great finally. Remember the days of t-dawg and dale? Or the quest to save Sophia.

I finally feel like we're watching a team of badasses

TWD is at it's absolute best when it stays closer to the comics. This has been the best three episode run of the series.
Up until recently, I disagreed with that. The farm and prison were awful on the show.

But I really loved the part after the prison were they were on the road to terminus. Those were really well written episodes.

But now, the show seems to have found its balance between the comic and they way them have to make a show

Funny how different people can have such dif reactions. I thought the walk to Terminus was basically an entirely wasted season.

Yeah, but the farm season in TWD was stretched out waaaaaay too long. And they flat out butchered the entire prison era on the show, and ruined the governor.

The prison could have been so good if they would have stayed anywhere near the source material.

Completely true.

But I loved the post prison era for its freshness. this show had proven that it was at it's worst when they tried to write for an ensemble.

So having some smaller, well written character stories really gave the show some soul.
Then when they were reunited as a group, there was some actual meat to it.
