Would an RPG fired at a lake even detonate? Doesn't it have to hit a hard target? Seemed like a waste of an awesome weapon.

Hard to say, I guess it would depend on just how hard it hits the water, I know that hitting a chain link fence is enough to trip the fuse and detonate the warhead. I definitely agree that it was a waste of a perfectly good RPG, but then again, that was the standard AT warhead so it's not that much use against people and walkers, much better against vehicles and structures. On the other hand, it is a reusable weapon so if they just kept the launcher they might be able to find more warheads somewhere eventually (if they're lucky) or improvise something but that seems rather unlikely.

Is that something that could be within, say, Eugene's skill set or would it take real specialized knowledge to improvise something for that?

He might be able to do that but I'd think that it would be more of a thing for someone with a deeper knowledge of how the RPG-7 works. The tricky thing, I'd imagine, would be figuring out how to build an engine that will integrate with the launcher and propel the warhead properly, the warhead itself could be improvised fairly easily by anybody with a basic knowledge of explosives, the originals have impact fuses but if you wanted to wing it I suppose you could make some sort of timed fuse but that would be rather imprecise and probably unreliable. C4 or TNT in the warhead might work though, both are impact sensitive although I don't know if they'd withstand the shock of the launch, they might not and might just blow up in your face almost right after you pressed the trigger, then there's the matter of finding the C4 or TNT, but given how easy it is to find things like full auto guns, ammo, gas, and food all the time I'd imagine that high explosives are just as common in TWD universe.

On second though, Eugene just might be able to kludge something together, he could probably design the motor easily enough and the body of the grenade is just a metal with really basic fins that pop out after being launched. And he might have enough explosives knowledge to design the warhead and a crude impact fuse if they're using an explosive that's not impact sensitive. So it might be possible although I forget what Eugene's exact knowledge and skill sets are but if anyone in Rick's group can do it would be Eugene, nobody else has anything remotely resembling the knowledge to know how to do it.

The airsoft RPG is great until you see it next to a real one or cast of a real one, then its a total let down. I have them both in storage. Im more curious as to how the RPG did that much damage in such a confined space not injuring anyone within spitting distance. Thats right, its a tv show, my bad.

You "realist" guys can toss the chainsaw right out the window. I was a certified CDF sawyer for a couple years. Chainsaws can have an attitude all their own to the point we knew who was using what saw just by the sound of it being operated. They are heavy and not as simple to wield as one would assume from movies or the dinky home owner models. A real chainsaw is a bomb waiting to detonate as they throw chains with impropper usage. Then have fun with the soothing hours of sharpening and maintenance. Fun times.

One could argue that the angle of impact combined with the lack of stopping force caused most of the damage to be directed away from Sasha and Abraham, kinda like squirting a water hose at the ground vs at a wall. Less splashback that way.


However, that's a tenuous argument at best.

That's pretty much what I was thinking, after they got the truck back I would have just called it a day and drove back to Alexandria with it instead of risking any further mishaps with it. It was already pretty full as it was so it's not like they could have fit all that much more in it, best just bring it back, drop off everything inside and go back out another day but now with an empty truck.

That was interesting and felt kind of like it was out from left field. I don't recall seeing Michonne being particularly interested in Rick nor Rick Michonne and I don't think that it's even been all that long since he lost what's her name and now he's banging Michonne? Wtf?

Anybody know who Mr. Trenchcoat/the Jay (of Jay & Silent Bob fame) is? He's a pretty tricky fellow and he seems like he's somebody special, is he from the comics or is he someone they made up?

I like this lighter side of TWD, there are some really interesting things coming up that will rely on a sense of humor/disbelief, so I think they're going a good direction for setting that all up.
