Would an RPG fired at a lake even detonate? Doesn't it have to hit a hard target? Seemed like a waste of an awesome weapon.
Hard to say, I guess it would depend on just how hard it hits the water, I know that hitting a chain link fence is enough to trip the fuse and detonate the warhead. I definitely agree that it was a waste of a perfectly good RPG, but then again, that was the standard AT warhead so it's not that much use against people and walkers, much better against vehicles and structures. On the other hand, it is a reusable weapon so if they just kept the launcher they might be able to find more warheads somewhere eventually (if they're lucky) or improvise something but that seems rather unlikely.
