Congrats!!!Whelp. I've done it. 4 months after joining this forum to work on a fairly basic Graflex ANH build, I was sucked into the Obi vortex. I figure dmaybe someday I'd get around to it. But that seemed like a long ways off. And then a nice offer to sell one to me came through.

And I'm halfway there. The numbered halfway there. More like 12 parsecs halfway (?).

I have a Roman's Balance Pipe and Booster on it's way and I opted for the FX Cage insert as it screws into the two pieces connected to it. But, I'm going to keep the Armitage Shanks pommel missing as I think that's the next easiest (haha easy) part to find. I knew I should've bought that recent one in the Junkyard. Stupid doubt in starting this.
I'd officially like to put myself out there for any group buys on the Booster or Balance Pipe that may appear. I'm sure the waiting list is long and more senior members have dibs but I guess it can't hurt to ask.
I have some Operational Amps headed my way as well and hopefully they work size-wise. I'll measure them and post the results here once they arrive. Also, I think my massive vintage d-ring score will be great for the d-ring so there's that too.
I"M ON MY WAY!!!!
That looks like mine, maybe from similar time periods? That's true, but you can still get lucky! I managed to find my grenade in the wild just a few months ago! I re weathered my russrep balance pipe today and made a new cone and reassembled the whole thing.

Congrats!!!
I have a butt load of Op Amps I can hook you up - thats a scientific measurement right?
I love that your grenade has skinny cubes and a full bevel on top.

Oh it sure does! I wouldn't be surprised! Mine has a very interesting double stamping in the wind vane, and the inside of the frag body still has fresh steel in it even after 105 years of being around, it's pretty mind blowing! Mine has the slightly inaccurate lip but to be honest I doubt I'll doctor it any. By the way! I may get on your case about some op amps too! I managed to mangle the last set I had, and I'm in need of some new ones! That looks like mine, maybe from similar time periods?

The transistors could have fallen off too. And they just put the transistors back on. Theres no proof either way. It make more sense and is way more likely that they trapped the washers under the transistors and fixed everything to the clamp. And there are plenty of vintage and non vintage recessed washers on the market. Plus i see no evidence of glue on the transistors in any pic that would lead us to believe that the washers were placed over the cans.As much as Roman's washers work I don't think they're right. No offence to Roman.
I feel like the washers go over the transistors rather than the transistors sit on the washers. That would explain how one fell off between the Tunisia shoot and the Elstree shoot. If the transistor sat on top of the washer surely the transistor would have fallen off too?
I've searched for recessed washers and can find nada.
