Man, sorry to hear that the dude was such a jerk about the boosters, but glad to know you got your money back.

And I'm sure the community appreciates your posting about them, hopefully no less-knowledgeable folks are duped by this guy.

The V grooves look just awful on those things, I wonder if he'll have a machinist fix those, since they're the most obvious inaccurate feature. I really hope not!

This is just a promised update from me. Absolutely keep speading the word. If these are not repos he made then he does plan on making repos and selling them for twice what the high end going rate is. Thats something he told me while trying to belittle me during the pp claim.

The stamping definitely isn't present on my booster. Its 100% real, so not sure it can be a reliable tell. Also wouldn't be difficult to fake, either.

Also, I believe there is more than one stamping, dependent on where it was manufactured.

Basically, the one foolproof tell is the chroming inside the booster. Its not present on any replica that I'm aware of. Its costly and difficult for your average hobbyist to produce and not necessary for the purposes of making a lightsaber. If anyone comes across a booster for sale that is missing the chroming, be wary.

Lots of rifle barrels are chrome lined, because it's durable and easy to clean, resists corrosion etc.

That's why they're chrome lined. Because thousands of rounds would be fired through them.

Cant tell for sure but it just looks like raised metal like whats on the left side of the crown. But maybe thats something too?
