The Ultimate Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Real Vintage Parts Lightsaber Group

Man, sorry to hear that the dude was such a jerk about the boosters, but glad to know you got your money back.

And I'm sure the community appreciates your posting about them, hopefully no less-knowledgeable folks are duped by this guy.

The V grooves look just awful on those things, I wonder if he'll have a machinist fix those, since they're the most obvious inaccurate feature. I really hope not!

The spitfire browning fakes... this is well known. The information was shared around by the community couple of months back (in facebook). RPF should be made aware as well.

Some of us don't do face book or any social media like me. So im trying to help out the rpf community with my unfortunate situation. Most of the folks on this thread already know what happened. This is just a promised update from me. Absolutely keep speading the word. If these are not repos he made then he does plan on making repos and selling them for twice what the high end going rate is. Thats something he told me while trying to belittle me during the pp claim.

Everyone should also note that real boosters have distinctive stampings on one side.

Basically, the one foolproof tell is the chroming inside the booster. Its not present on any replica that I'm aware of. Its costly and difficult for your average hobbyist to produce and not necessary for the purposes of making a lightsaber. If anyone comes across a booster for sale that is missing the chroming, be wary.

Lots of rifle barrels are chrome lined, because it's durable and easy to clean, resists corrosion etc.

That's why they're chrome lined. Because thousands of rounds would be fired through them.

M4vrick, yeah, this isn't new news here, this is just an update from coolhanluked, and it's much appreciated!
