The things you find at your local machine gun dealer

Thanks for making that all clear.

Hi Guys

If I knew how to make them smaller I would, I have enough trouble loading pictures on. If anyone can doi it for me please do as Computers are not my thing.

Cheers

WOW, that´s a nice find!
so how much for this??? :love

I am afraid it is not for sale as they are so rare in the UK due to it being a grenade launcher which is difficult to get deactivated and aproved by the proof house which this has been

I've resized it.

Great thread and super interesting find!

What is the real world name for this exact piece?

The only official name I can find in the list of changes is

Discharger, Grenade,Rifle: No1 Mk1 ( this is for the cup only)

As they were made up mainly by regimental armourers they do differ slightly and were known as 2 1/2 inch Smoke dischagers these were the ones bolted to the side of the vehicle, this is the type the Jawa blaster was made from.

The one I have is slightly different as it is known as a spigot type projector

Similar adaptions were made from P14/17 rifles ( often called wrongly Enfields in the USA a term first used when they were issued to WW1 American soldiers when Springfields were not available)

For more information I reccomend THE BRITISH SERVICE LEE by Ian Skennerton

Hope that helps
