Saw this on another message board. Seems to have great potential.

The Star Wars Vault

Ever wonder what it would be like to pour over Lucas' original handwritten story treatment for Empire, or thumb through a photo album given to the cast and crew of A New Hope? Do you regret throwing out that rare program book for a 1978 Star Wars concert performed by John Williams, or that ticket stub to the one and only licensed Star Wars Circus? And just where did that Star Wars t-shirt go that you wore as a kid? Well, fans can now relive the Star Wars saga as insiders, concert goers, t-shirt savvy kids and others would have experienced it in a massive new interactive tome called The Star Wars Vault from Harper Entertainment.
Written by Lucasfilm's Steve Sansweet and Pete Vilmur, The Star Wars Vault recounts the history of the pervasive saga which spans three decades and has generated scores of paraphernalia -- items readers can now unfold, flip over, touch, and even hear -- reproduced script pages, tickets, blueprints, catalogs, stickers, sheet music, audio interviews, radio spots, radio drama excerpts and more. But these are just the beginning of this mega-scrapbook of all things Star Wars.

The Star Wars Vault will include:

50 interactive, rare and some never-before-published memorabilia, including reproductions of Lucas's own handwritten script pages, flip-through catalogs, swag, posters, T-shirt transfers, tattoos, stickers, blueprints, production notes, animation cells and much more.
Hundreds of photos and pieces of artwork.
2 CDs containing over 2 hours of vintage radio ads, original cast interviews, excerpts from the NPR Star Wars radio drama, the complete Star Tours soundtrack, George Lucas's commentary and other tracks that tell the story of everyone's favorite galaxy battle as never before.

I'll see if I can get any additional info.

Yikes, that would be awesome. If I had my way, I'd like something nearly as thick as "Chronicles" (200-300 pgs). With something called "The Vault" I'd hope it would be pretty packed full with tons previously unrealeased stuff.

To be totally accurate, I thing they should simply rename the book "Steve Sansweet's Vault."

This will definitely be on my Amazon pre-order list. :)

Looks pretty cool. Sounds something like the Star Wars Scrapbook that came out years ago. Still cool nonetheless. Ill buy it. :D

This looks good. Bet it's pricey though...

what's the price?

Amazon lists it for $53.55

Retail price is $85.

Fair price considering the complexity of the piece. It's full of reproductions of paper collectibles and two audio CD's, not a simple book.

At less than $60 that's a fantastic piece. I read the descrip and was expecting $85, bare min. Ah, the power of nostalgia :D

Awesome. Seriously awesome.

I got a copy of The Star Wars Vault, essentially a big hardcover book in a slipcase. It mostly covers the paraphernalia and hype surrounding the SW phenomenon and is not a making of. No prop/model/costume or behind-the-scenes pix per se, but there is an interesting pic of Hamill in a Hoth ESB bit, and I swear the Graflex looks like it doesn't have any grips on it. Might just be the light/reflection, etc.

There's some material on Trooping and cons, but only a bit. Overall, this is for the diehard who has to have everything. I didn't get any paperwork with the book, so have no idea how much it costs, but my guess is it isn't cheap. Fun enough, but nothing in the league with the Chronicles or the recent Making of.

I would really apreciate it if you could post that pic of Hammil and lightsaber.
