The official Cosplaysky's AOU Captain America Costume

So I am ready to pull the trigger and purchase a Cosplaysky Cap suit. I am not sure if I am going with the AOU or Stealth Suit but this is my first time dealing with Cosplay Sky and the sizing is throwing me for a loop. Do these suits truly fit to form and the measurements on the size chart? on the fence between a size L & XL since I don't know how much tailoring will need to be done and if more material is helpful. Im 6'1, 210 and *Hopefully* on my way to an athletic build by the time Im finished :lol

Anyways, I have been following these threads diligently and your guys humble opinion would help very much. Thanks

I got an XL (6' 205lbs) and the jacket fit great in the chest. I got it taken a tad in the waist. The pants are huge though! Currently trying to get a smaller pair from them, but they're saying that the issue isn't big and I should take it to a tailor.... Which I did and they said it'd cost more than it would be worth.

Thanks for the reply Quill, suit looks good! Not sure what I should do now. Maybe XL Jacket with Large pants? Maybe they could accommodate that for me. Thanks again!

Pmd you buddy!

Also to anyone curious on how my tailor did the jacket here's a pic of the insideuploadfromtaptalk1439053975289.jpg

Our next plan (once I get the pants taken care of) is to potentially do the vest conversion like the civil war suit. I have some fabric on its way from a fellow cap so we're going to see if that'll work.

So I was looking back at a pic of Chris Evans without his belt on and noticed does the jacket remain on the outside, but also has small tabs at the bottom. The same is on his Civil War shirt. Does this somehow connect to the pants or do you think his belt somehow attaches to the jacket via these tabs? Thoughts? I thought about incorporating them into my jacket if I they are for the belt which would mean the belt moves with the jacket.

My guess is to secure it to the pants that way it doesn't come up with movement. Even though they have the body separate from the sleeves (assuming it's the same as the civil war suit) it could still ride up a tad when you raise your arms. With it secured, it would pull up on the pants to keep the seamless look.

My tailor and I are thinking about doing it with a zipper.

Probably for the belt. To keep the jacket in place when bending over, all one needs to do is add a zipper to the back to connect it with the pants. That's how UD Replicas does it with their suits. Since the movie jacket is a 2-piece, there aren't a lot of movements that would cause the front to lift up and expose the undershirt.

If you want a simpler solution to keep the belt in place, see my post #56 on this thread.

Hey Third3ye, do you also use those clips for your AoU costume jacket as well?

I would think it's for the belt. If you look at this image of him without the chest and torso (only the undersuit) there are tabs on the undersuit that I imagine would keep the torso in place.

Going to work on it some more on Tuesday so I'll keep you all posted!

Also used the arm magnets as a way to start learning 3d modeling. Here's the results!
