The Ninja - Star Wars Vintage Parts Hunting & Props - UPDATE - Hunting Box from the UK

I thought the balance pipe, on my Obi-Wan, would forever be the replica part. However, thanks to Chris teecrooz, it was one of the 1st parts I got.
You ARE the master hunter Ian The Ninja! I don't have any doubts in my mind you will find your balance pipe! Heck, you might even leads on one now.
Your saber is beautiful! & Romans Romans Empire parts are so good, the genuine parts slide right on, when found. Even the threading on his parts match the original! Amazing.
You got this my friend. You're as good as done! It took me 4 years. That dang booster... thought I'd never get one. Anyway, the hunt continues!

Thanks buddy, it's all part of the enjoyment, I never thought I would get this far but as you say with a little help from some good friends, slowly slowly you can even put together unicorn vintage props, after Dustin newmagrathea does the weathering on my Roman's BP, we have discussed Dustin doing a review video of my Obi saber, including where I found the parts & the work done on each part should be a cool video :D

As you say... the hunt continues :ninja:

I'm honestly sitting with my mouth wide open looking at those pics!
As you mentioned 2020 is a great year to complete an all vintage ESB - was going to say I'm looking forward to seeing this build complete but I'm actually quite happy just to look at the parts sitting as they are
Excellent mate (y)

Beautiful pile of parts!

Good choice on those screws. Screw heads look pretty close, yea, but I've never had anything tap into the brass as easy as those specific type of screws. They're not readily available too, so I find it fun to hunt old equipment to pull them from.

If you're going full accurate, i'd be curious to see how you copy the 2 small lumpy grips

I don't want to be THAT guy... but let's face it.. we're all THAT guy... but the Wampa cave saber has the thin-knurled stile button on the bunny ear side. ;)

Really? Have I seriously never noticed that before???

Thanks buddy, yeah we will be trying to get as close as possible to what we see, I have talked with Troy Seneca who will be doing the milling of the T-Tracks and then Dustin newmagrathea will be doing the detailed work & assembly.

Wait no, sorry. I mean to say it still has the beer tab unlike every other ESB saber. Its the ANH stunt that has the thin strip knurling.

That makes me happier, I was just about to post that I had not seen any clear reference pics showing that the ESB Wampa Cave Stunt had an early Folmer Red Button, thanks SethS for clearing that up :)

I was under the impression the stunt ESB has the beer tab and single knurled button...

There is a clearer picture of this

And then we see the same saber again on dagobah as a belt hanger
