The Ninja - Star Wars Vintage Parts Hunting & Props - UPDATE - Hunting Box from the UK

Wanna fill me in where your deal stands at because I got a feeling we’ve already been counterproductive.

Dont really understand why you took the time to black out the conversation you posted because everything is still visible. I found the guns in one minute after reading your message. You might want to remedy that.

thanks, im on it

And why do you think I took the time? It looked fine on phone at midnight before sleeping.

The Ninja has helped me a number of times obtain pieces for my collection, & never once has he asked for a penny. & the ONE time I have purchased from him, I not only didn't think he was gouging me with jack'd up prices, I think he ate some of the shipping to help me out even more.
I marvel at his -& many here on The RPF- "hunting" abilities. Many of our collections have been made better because of them. & I, for one, am most grateful.

I am a part of this so I hope you all will read my post fully.

Below are events in the order they occurred as I know them. I want to put this out to dispute the claim that suggested The Ninja hijacked these Browning from another member.

1. Back in September while searching for Browning gun, I found a gun dealer website that listed 12 guns for sale. After confirming that 8 guns were available, I started contacting brokers in the US to help with importing, but all of them said no way. So I told the gun dealer that I can no longer pursue this further due to regulations. He acknowledged and our e-mail exchange ended on Oct 10.

2. On Oct 16, I bumped my WTB Booster/Flash Hider post. The Ninja messaged me informing me of an auction in the US that might interest me. I thanked him and mentioned my failed attempt to buy Browning from A gun dealer located in Czech. The conversation moved along to something else.

3. Fast forward to Nov 30. I contacted Onderon hoping to buy Armitage Shank tap sets from him. He said he would trade them for a Booster. So I told him about that gun dealer, gave him the web site and contact info.

4. On Dec 5, The Ninja updated his hunting Thread with Browning. I thought it was a great find. I even messaged him the same day showing my interest in getting one.

5. Later on Dec 5, I received a message from Onderon asking me if I let The Ninja take the Browning find. I didn't think much of it at the time so in my reply, I said that I did mention "Czech" to the Ninja, but that was back in October and the Ninja could have found it on his own since I too found it on Google. The conversation then shifted back to Armitage Shanks tap set.

6. Today I received message from both Onderon and The Ninja about Browning gun. I checked back at the hunting thread to find that the issue was blown up. In my response to Onderon, I outlined my interactions with The Ninja back in October and that The Ninja found these guns on his own. I also pointed out that anyone could have located these guns by showing him a screen shot of how a Google search for "Browning .303" would bring up images posted by this gun dealer.

Hope this helps clear up the air for some.

Since a number of posts have been removed some clarification is in order.

Member's can set any price they want in the Classifieds Forums. If you have a problem with the price, don't buy it and move on. Sure, no one likes to see price gouging but buyers have to take a certain amount of responsibility when it comes to researching purchases.

Over the years the RPF has seen many, many situations dealing with bad blood generated as the result of discovering/hording rare items. This is nothing new. While we are a very community oriented site, nothing highlights differing opinions more than the procurement of rare found items and information regarding those items (with the possible exception of recasting). We obviously encourage the fostering of a community spirit but ultimately and obviously it is up to the individual that locates and purchases these items as to what they choose to do with them. As a result, getting into a long back and forth debate over such things is a waste of time and serves only to widen the gap instead of constructively working toward bringing about the best end result that can possibly be achieved given the particular circumstances.

Hoth Electrobinoculars Build

I posted sometime back that Markus OdiWan72 helped me out by digging out this reject cast from his Hoth Electrobinoculars Run so I could have the prop to display with my planed all vintage Wampa Cave saber and hunted vintage SWAN Goggles, please don't think after watching Dustin's WIP videos Markus's Hoth Electrobinoculars casts were like this, digging this reject cast out of his junk box & putting together the other parts was a big favor to me, which I can't thank Markus enough, thanks buddy (y)
