Vintage Hales No3 MK1 Rifle Grenade Restoration Project

I hunted these 4x vintage Hales No3 MK1 Rifle Grenades last year, I plan to keep the best 2x for my Real Parts Obi Build and Display Hales.

The condition of the Hales vary and whilst there are no heavily rusted bodies some of the brass is corroded and I wanted to get the bodies cleaned up & re-blued and all the brass fittings cleaned and re-fitted.

I decided after watching Dustin newmagrathea Hales Restoration Video Series and chatting with him, Dustin was the guy for the project, we intend to do before & after photos along with videos and I think Dustin may do a project thread.

I am bloody excited to get another step closer to complete my Real Parts Obi Build

Yeah I have had the Rolls-Royce Derwent Engine on my hunting radar with help from Chris but unfortunately I am 0/3 the engines I found were all non- upgraded Mk8 engines but the hunt continues

I got lucky and found a very helpful Dealer who was able to help me out, I am sure I could have supplied everyone who wanted a Hales if not for the new UK/EU laws

Weeeell....grenade inerts are still legal here in germany, so HERE I AM, waiting for you to help me with an accurate grenade (symmetrical cut, correct windvande)

I wish I could Markus, unfortunately the Dealer that was helping me is UK based and because of the new laws has stopped dealing in items now restricted under the new laws I have not seen any Hales listed since the new laws

As I understand from the Dealer the restrictions apply to sending outside of the UK, I have not researched the new laws so if you live within the UK you should follow up locally, hope that helps.

I got a "candlestick holder" and "antique tractor parts" shipped to the US no problem....but that was before January 1st, I think that is when the law changed, correct? Which is too bad, I was hoping to upgrade my grenade at some point...and this may really hurt my chances for a booster too .

Vintage MPP Silver Bar Clamp

I just picked up this vintage MPP Silver Bar Clamp in nice condition, this will make an awesome addition to my vintage MPP Microflash collection & build which I hope to add to this year, all the credit to this amazing find goes to Jerry trooper with them oldman eagle eyes who spotted this amazing clamp in a not so obvious place.

I also need to thank Chris teecrooz & Andy mugatu for their expert help in confirming the clamp was a genuine vintage MPP Microflash Clamp.

Vintage Browning MKII Booster & Barrel Jacket

I am another step closer to obtaining all the parts for my Real Parts Obi Saber, I finally have a vintage Browning MKII Booster, I need to thank Markus OdiWan72 for all his time & effort in putting this together for me, you are a champion buddy

I am stoked to not only get a Booster but to also get the Booster Nut & Pin and the Barrel Jacket which I plan to display along with a Flash Suppressor I picked up last year

find a local machinist..removal should be way easier with the right tools. A mill would be perfect
