The Next Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver

Sonic Screwdriver from the 2008 Doctor Who Christmas special ("The Next Doctor"), modeled in Blender and 3D-printed on an Ultimaker 2.
Handle printed with colorFabb woodFill (0.28mm layers), stained with Minwax "Olde Maple" Polyshade; collar and shank printed with Ultimaker Metallic Silver (0.12mm layers), painted with Alclad II Steel, Model Master Chrome Silver, and Vallejo Model Air Dark Earth.

The stain turned out a little more reddish than I'd expected; oh well.

(Yes, it's ridiculous. But, hey, it's canon!)

I should make a replica. First to find a good sized screwdriver to use as a base. Then find a good piece that looks the same as the prop used

That's awesome! I briefly looked for a matching tool once or twice, some in the right direction but not exactly right. Nice work!

I bet we can find someone who can make the handle easily. Given the generic design, and staining done. Finding the right screwdriver for a base is difficult
