There was more than one original prop. Some had deckled paper (but not as much as the hand-made paper samples we're able to source) and others had plain cut sheets. So both are screen accurate. We really wanted to go with the deckled look, but since no good options are available, we're opting to go with the simple plain cut.

After many requests, we're going to do a limited run of the classic Neverending Story book, but as a blank book. The cover will be genuine leather, accurately sized, with custom make metal Auryn and corner pieces, and gold embossed title. The interior will have custom printed flysheets to match the original prop as well.

We've already started a lot of legwork on this piece, including 3d modeling and we've already done some test pieces for the custom corners:

No firm pricing yet, but we'll post more on that as well as updates in this thread as we can.

And... since we're doing the Auryn for the cover, it's a no-brainer to also offer medallions... so we'll be doing a run of those (along with accurate chain) too!

Do we have an approximate date of when these will be finished and when they might be shipped by?

There's a con nearby in October where they'll have tami and noah, and I'd love to have them signed the inside of this book haha!

We've had so many delays due to Covid, internally and at our factory, it's hard to predict. I'm hoping things will be back on schedule soon and will post updates as soon as we have them!

It's the plating that's the big issue at the moment... it's hard to find someone to do the two-tone coloring and even then, none of them are willing to do a sample, so it'd be a very expensive mistake if the colors picked weren't right. We'll keep you posted!

Have you looked for someone to cast them in solid bronze? And then age them? Cost versus time?

We've done some bronze cast piece years ago and the pricing can be quite high, and the detail is hard to get as crisp as we'd like for these. We're still working and should have some news soon in any case...
