The Mandalorian (TV series)

Oh, I do think I remember reading that in one of the old Visual Dictionaries, or maybe this big encyclopedia on Star Wars EU that my school’s library had back when I was into EU stuff.
If you're like me, back then, it wasn't EU, OT, PT, etc... It was STAR WARS, & I'd eat up every single bit with a freaking spoon. Lol

That was definitely me at that point…haven’t been that way in a long time, though. Still, occasionally bringing in an interesting concept, whether from a novel or piece of concept art, and breathing new life into it can be good sometimes. When done well.

I recall we see one of those frog people in the cantina in ANH but I don’t know what they’re called.

Well that was a pointless filler episode. Especially after last week's epic season opener. It was like:

Last week: Ooh, Boba Fett's armor! Oooh, krayt dragon!!
OOOH, BOBA FETT!!!

This week: Oh look, it's that guy from Kim's Convenience...

I’m all for world building and letting a story breathe but I agree that this episode was mostly just dull. The reason why these episodes get called filler is because it feels like the show wants to both be non serialized AND has the small episode count of a series like GoT which just leaves it kind of confusing. If there were 20 episodes a season then sure thing bring on the slice of life filler episodes, but we’re now down to 6 remaining if it follows like last season and very little has really happened.

Maybe I’m spoiled by shows that are basically movies, but I don’t know if I believe that’s a bad thing.

Close to a cantina creature but not quite
