The Mandalorian (TV series)

This was the first episode that felt kind of cringey to me with all the callbacks. Still enjoyed it, but would've liked it more without all that stuff.

The most interesting part isn't that they went back to Tatooine. But the state of Mos Eisley. Its practically empty. Ships aren't coming and going. Streets aren't teeming with life. The cantina has only a few patrons.

Also has any anyone noticed that the use the same jingling spurs sound when the Mandalorian walks? Like they did with Boba Fett. Or was is that Boba???????????

Agree 100% and the acting was terrible in this episode. Not sure if the mechanic or the wannabe bounty hunter had even acted before, man they were bad. Love the show, but this was my least favorite episode by far. Only the beginning space battle and the mysterious figure at the end were interesting. The rest felt like a bad fan film.

Glad to see a return to form with this episode. Yeah, it’s got fan service and some bad acting, but it’s better-paced and a more interesting story

I noticed that as well... maayyybeee we see Fett in the last episode?

Mixed on this episode story wise. This was Faloni's second live directed show so not bad.

I could've done without them going to Tatooine, but I did appreciate the irony of the cantina - going from formerly being a "Hey we don't serve their kind in here!" no-droids-allowed bar - to becoming run by droids.

That last shot is really confusing. At first I though whoever it is was wearing the old, not-beskar armor of the mando; same boots and calf pieces, no knee pads but that thigh piece has the same shape and blaster marks. But then I realized the mando still has his old thigh pieces, boots and all... But if it's him, why no cartridge band on his right calf?
My best guess is they knew we would dissect that scene to the last frame, so it's just the mando but they took off the cartridge band just to confuse us

It just hit me that Fett 'died' on Tatooine.

What if...& I mean if... Fett is alive, this puts him on the Mando's trail, & the season/series ends up with Mando vs Fett.

Everyone wanted a Boba Fett series, but Favreau decides to make us care more about this character, then pits him against Boba.

Just in my head, that would be absolute GENIUS.

"Here ya go nerds... NOW whatcha gonna do?!?!":lol::lol:

Eh, didn't look Mandalorian to me at all. Just heavy pants and boots.

Hopefully they don't pull some nonsense where he saves her life.

Liked the episode. Agree about the acting skills specially the looser trying to be a bounty hunter. If that last guy is Fett that would be very cool but highly doubt it. The Child is getting cuter with each episode!

I actually preferred chapter 4 to this one. It felt pretty disjointed to me, and I can’t get over the runtimes being so short. The acting since chapter 3 has gotten weaker each installment. Being more than halfway through the season now I’m not sure if I like the show overall.

The short runtime is a major letdown. It's obviously intended to eventually run in a 1hr slot with lots of commercials.

Cad Bane? The bounty hunter teased at the end? Would be great to have a live action Cad Bane.
Ooh, good call.

Only 2 problems would be his possible age, but it's been established that species she differently, & in an unaired episode of Clone Wars, Cad was supposed to have been killed in a shootout with Boba. Filoni showed the animatic at a con a few years ago.

Like I said, since it was unaired, it may not be considered Canon at the moment, but it could be touched on in February when the new season of TCW starts.

And Maul was cut in half and fell down an exhaust shaft. He got better. ;)
