The Mandalorian (TV series)

I like how they incorporated the Jawas into this episode. They weren't a threat to Mando as much as they were a huge inconvenience. And I like how they fought him comically in a "strength of numbers" way. Then, despite Mando disintegrating a few of their friends, they were still willing to bargain with him to get them the egg showing just how opportunistic they are. They could've easily just thrown them in there as fan service but they gave them more to do which is good.

I don't know if it was an homage to Last Crusade but Mando hanging off the side of the Sandcrawler did remind me of it and yes him "walk climbing" up the side reminded of Adam West Batman too haha.

So not much happened plot wise this episode but I'm now taking the approach of just treating it as an old serial with shorter episodes. Most shows I watched growing up were a half hour long so no problem there.

This is an entertaining review that cracked me up in a few spots. I appreciate the humor.

His points are valid and I would agree if we were at the end of the season but we're only two episodes in and as much as I would like to say Disney failed again and they don't deserve to be the stewards of Star Wars, I don't think it's fair to do so now. Yeah it's not as epic or deep as the OT but eh it's an action show like most other bounty hunter shows. As long as you don't ask more of it than that, it can be enjoyable. Also it hasn't broken any rules or contradicted what came before like the movies have (although baby Yoda could present some problems). I will agree with him about finding the baby Yoda bounty too easily but I see why they did that. They wanted to hook everyone in in the first episode. Again, this is another reason why I still believe at least the first episode should've been a little longer.

Finally got to start watching this! I'm digging this and especially how each chapter is its own story that's clearly part of the entire book. They're giving us something to wait and find out about, but still giving us a story that moves.

I love the Star Wars looks of things so far. The only downside is the bizarre music they composed for it. But that's my only critique.

For those who have a 3D Printer...... Enjoy

I wish I could login to Disney+ to watch the new episode, but they still can't manage a fully functioning website apparently.

So, should I stay away from this thread until I watch it? Seems like the general consensus is that something pretty amazing/cool happens, and I feel like I should go into that fresh and unspoiled.

I hope at some point there is some kind of space battle. Lightsabers and Jedi I can do without, but shoot-out after shoot-out after shoot-out might get old fast. Not asking for a Death Star type battle, but give me some spaceships doing something other than just flying.

Other than that, yeah, the show is outstanding!!
