The Mandalorian (TV series)

It's thought that the aging process is steadily slowing down in some populations, with a number of factors potentially coming together to cause that to happen.
Huh. Sorry to continue this tangent but I find that really interesting that it’s an observable phenomenon and not just a psychological effect.

I think it’s more psychological. We the observers are older influencing our perspective.

I’m in my upper 40s and find MILFs hot.... but that’s just me....

Yeah it’s probably best we don’t get too deep into the why of her termination here
Mmhm. As someone who has seen her posts, with increasing dismay because I used to like her... It is close on impossible to discuss it here because wow. Given some of what she's said about the replies/responses she's gotten, that I've seen as well... It makes me wonder about the bullying she talks about being on the receiving end of when she was younger. I never want to not like someone -- especially not someone who I liked before. So this has been a heartbreaking several months.

I'll only say: I don't agree with a good portion of the views she holds, but I do feel she expressed them with better humor and grace than some people who say things I do agree with. I live in Cali and wear a mask obsessively, and I still got a good laugh out of her meme mocking people like me.

I dunno, I think people get too wound up about what people say and don't care enough about why or how they're saying it. The only type of person I don't trust at all are the humorless ones, and I don't get the impression she's one of those.

(That said, I'm only familiar with her tweets/posts that have been reprinted by other outlets. Maybe I've missed some that would have really pissed me off.)

We’ve become so obsessed with being “politically correct” that we’ve made ourselves “socially inept”.

My wife is black, her sister is African American. My wife thinks labels are silly, her sister demands “respect” for her views.

I don’t get offended over ignorance, but hate and intolerance makes me boil.

I was never a huge Cara Dune fan but I honestly saw this coming a long time ago. She was playing with fire by publicly expressing viewpoints (ie: political persecution, anti-masking, etc, etc) that were counter to that of the powers that be and I questioned the wisdom of her doing so if she wanted to have a career in Hollywood. Right or wrong, that's just the way it is. Both sides show a remarkable lack of tolerance for opposing viewpoints, each side demonizing the other to the point of being worked up into a rabid froth. It's quite something.

This link may interest you. Nothing solid but some reasonable info

As for the news about Gina, well without breaking the rules myself here, what she said/wrote, did fall into the realms of taking the point too far. As well as being historically ignorant.

As much as it can be decried that she was fired for it, it is hardly a new phenomena that a person's words on social media can be used to terminate their employment.
