The Mandalorian (TV series)

Anyone find it odd that Din, being a member of the guild, doesnt recognize the armor of the "most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy"? I get its a big galaxy, and we dont know how long Din has been a bounty hunter.... but its implied Boba has quite a reputation. Maybe its just his name...and most dont know what he actually looks like.

Well, unless it's a common paint scheme you'd think he'd have looked at him and said 'you're not boba fett', if he knew who fett was - whether in person or via rep.

Not really. They don't even know who Jedi are. The Mandalorians went into hiding after the siege. Boba was still a pre-teen at the end of Clone Wars. The pre-viz of him and Cad Bane having their show down in order to dint his helmet, never made it into the show, which had him as a later teen/young adult. I'd venture to say that Death Watch (headed by Bo-Katan), broke up all the Mandos into various factions. I mean, they were hiding underground taking bounties when they could. Only certain clan heads had contact to other Mandos (The Armorer?? Which I still think sounds very similar to Sabine's mom...)

There might have been tales of this false Mandalorian spreading around, but in order to keep the actual Mandalorian safe, they couldn't venture out to bring him in. Their planet was taken by the Empire and they were wanted, where as Boba was working along side the Empire.

Lol...what. Mando wasn't on screen either of those times. Did you listen to the video I posted above? Why would Mando walk up to Fennec, and why would they not show it was him? Also why would they add Mando spurs to Boba walking off?

Also Mando doesn't have spurs.

Yeah. It's clearly Mando who appears at the end of S1E5 to take something (?) off of Shand's body.

Clearly Mando's leg wrap here:

Clearly Mando's right shoretrooper shin here:

I read an interview with one of the sound designers on the show, and he mentioned that they add spur sound effects whenever Mando is onscreen. And those aren't Fett boots.

Sorry.

So yea, as far as spurs goes. they got the spur and jingle sound for Mando, from having done that with fett in the original films. I also believe fett has spur sounds when he walks off at the end of S2E1.

Things we know for sure.
-spurs can mean fett or mando
-fett appears to have made it out of the sarlac at some point in the last 9 years
-fett lost or otherwise got rid of his armor at some point in that same time period (maybe lost it in the salrac, and it was recovered by jawas afterwards, not certain
-R5's life is miserable

Good episode, I liked it just fine. It just felt lackluster for a season opener, more like a mid season filler episode.
Exactly. For the season opener, I expected a continuation of the Empire remnants arc, as opposed to a random episode that almost could have been inserted at any point in the season.

so what i took away was, the tusken raiders, a race displaced on their own planet, generally seen as and treated as scum by the displacers have a real emnity for the displacers, now have a krayt dragon egg. I wouldnt want to be living in mos eisley in a few years when thats things grown and trained..................

There's grey area here guys...Like how the hell Boba got out of there without armor. Or he could have sold it to the Jawas for food or other supplies until he got back on his feet after being in a friggin Sarlac...

I bet it parralells how Cobb came to own it. Fett escapes, is in bad shape and is close to dying in the desert. The Jawas find him and nurse him back to health but keep the Armor as payment.

I'm guessing that was just another nod to Legends etc, and it was a Krayt pearl rather than an egg

Krayt pearls are rocks in the gizzards of dragons and were smoothed with the acidic properties into pearls. They were in KotOR. They were also eventually refined for light sabers.

Han also used one to pay his way into the sabacc game with Lando.

Who knows what happened to Sing,
She was killed by Han's mentor, Woody Boyd, I mean Hamish, I mean Woody Harrelson. At least, he pushed her and "the fall" killed her.

This might be from me being bummed out that DUNC isn't happening this year, but did anyone else think having a spitoon on Tatooine was a pretty stupid idea? Shouldn't they be conserving water better than that?
