Halliwax what do you think they used on the prop for the scene?, it does not look shiny like in the roman's site, the texture seems dull...
Yeah... I thought something like that could have been done to the prop by the production team.A satin clearcoat is all it would take. Even a couple layers of a wash weathering would make it less shiny.
his screen caps of emails and sales receipts were enough proof for me lolIs there a reference or discussion for this? Just curious
I would imagine in an official SW publication they would want to reference the licensed product and not the 3rd party unlicensed replica. This article says it was based on a Master Replicas version: Redirect Notice
Also - I have Roman TD, and have looked at photos of the Master replicas - they look identical.I would imagine in an official SW publication they would want to reference the licensed product and not the 3rd party unlicensed replica.
If you look hard enough in the back ground of some behind the scenes footage you can see Esposito using it, they spray painted it blackIn speaking with some ~connected~ industry folk, The use of 3rd party replicas is not out of the realm of possibility for these shows. They do own the IP of the item and personally, I would think it a great honour to have my prop replicas used in the real universe that inspired their creation.
The good amount of the stunt saber blades that have been in use for recent Star Wars productions have been commercially available 'dueling blades' due to the ubiquitous and reliable nature of them.
I have found out that one of the stunt Darksabers for Mando S2 was an off the shelf dueling saber. Giancarlo Esposito kept breaking the production made Darksaber blades so they made do however they could.
100% it looks almost like a 'Collection Saber' From amazon but maybe with a neopixel dueling blade for more even lighting through the blade. Even then, they CGI 'd the heck out of it in the endIf you look hard enough in the back ground of some behind the scenes footage you can see Esposito using it, they spray painted it black
