Wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. Apparently, they used his Inception Elite for OWK's Belt-Hanger

im hesitant to believe because if you check a screen shot of the thermal detonator used in the madalorian s2 e7 the texture seems different to the clean version or even the weathered version on roman's website.
maybe the production team for the mandalorian s2 weathered... or painted the detonator, but, is there any confirmation on that?

well... what i want is irrelevant, i'm ok with either truth.100% true, whether you chose to believe that is up to you..
That’s not the only props Roman has supplied to production
so, definetely he was the provider for the ep7 in madalorian season 2, TD that's big.
Halliwax what do you think they used on the prop for the scene?, it does not look shiny like in the roman's site, the texture seems dull...

A satin clearcoat is all it would take. Even a couple layers of a wash weathering would make it less shiny.

Yeah... I thought something like that could have been done to the prop by the production team.
But i would like some more insight, im parciallly colourblind, so i might get wrong some aspects of a prop on screen.
To me, it seems like there is some colour added to the props, its nott only the dullness, it seems to be some slight texture, probable by the coating or whatever they did to the piece.
Do you have anymore insight?
Sure, here's what it looks like to me, and the steps I would go through to reproduce it:

- I would paint liquid latex masking with a small paintbrush directly on the shiny surface in these spots (and others as needed):
By "as needed", I mean that I would also hit some high points and edges with the latex masking liquid to simulate a finish being rubbed or scuffed off.
- I would clearcoat the entire thing with satin, and let it dry 24-48 hours.
- I would rub off the latex masks with a finger.
- I would weather the whole thing in a layer of watered-down dark brown acrylic paint, applied with a paintbrush and a little sloppy, and then picking up most of it with wet and dry cotton balls, dabbing irregularly. And then let it dry.
- I would weather all recessed surfaces in a layer of watered-down black acrylic paint with a paintbrush, and then try to pick up as much as possible, this time dabbing with only wet cotton balls. I'd want the black only in the deepest recesses. And then let it dry.
- If I had trouble with the weathering after it's all dry, I'd rub off any excess with a wet cotton swab and/or cotton ball. This gives me a "caked-on" effect for the over-weathered bits of paint that will "break off."

I would imagine in an official SW publication they would want to reference the licensed product and not the 3rd party unlicensed replica.
I think they for sure used Roman Parts. This was said about his Belt-Hanger:

Roman Props Thermal Detonator
Does anyone here know if the thermal detonators used in the latest episode of Mandalorian were from Roman? With the production using props from well known builders (Gordon Tarpley, & Zorg, among others), I was just curious.

Also - I have Roman TD, and have looked at photos of the Master replicas - they look identical.
I took mine apart to investigate new electronics, and Romans is based the same 3d files that Masters is.
