They were made by Snyder, and fit -welllll- they fit like a glove  just a wee bit o' babypowder and on they go!

Small update, I took the skin off the dummy and stuffed it lightly with more shop towels and am starting to iron... uuuuugh, I hate ironing, but in this case I'll make an exception

Jaded,

thanks

I spent a good amount of time trying to match the color without bringing the mask into the local Michael's store

Next step is to do the hands.... I got em washed and trimmed, and smoothed out a pesky nobbly thingy in the inside right at the palm where it would drive me bonkers

Scott,

thanks

Despite catching the crud  I went shopping for more paint, those quick release things and some grey webbing ;)

I also velcroed the back opening of the mask and made the ear holes larger...

I was worried those doggone hearing aids would not stop squealing, but the holes turned out the right size and location (whew!)

Question, do I make 'em pink, or use the brown material?

 Sorry to hear you're not feeling the best, but your suit
is coming along in a spectacular whirlwind of wicked badassness!
Great paint up!

That bugs got a lot of people down. Just keep moving is all I can suggest. I would leave em brown.

Scott,

I followed both your suggestions, only spent 1/2 day yesterday in bed, spent the rest of it shopping, then went to work today... I feel much better

and I left the ears brown:

This is what I used to help get the skin off the dummy, while its on the dummy, slide this long handled shoehorn under the fabric to get it unstuck:

Ironing took a couple hours... the suit gets turned inside out, stuffed lightly with new shoptowels, and each section ironed for two minutes:

many thanks tusky, that bug didn't get me down for long.

Here's more pix,

I started patterns for the anklets, the silver metallic paint is flaking so I am making leather ones to cover it.. they will be silver & layered like the ones that are built in to the feet:

I got the hands done, matched the skin to the body skin and the gloves to the loin cloth:

I also repainted the feet, I just couldn't stand that yellow that a certain manufacturer uses :0

I started the neckring, so far its only primed in black with prosaide added; I will finish it tomorrow.

Many thanks, Jaded

More pix!

It was a nice and sunny day in SoCal, so outside I went and finished the neckring. Just plain black.

Then that two part foam I got a couple weeks ago started tempting me so I kitted up...

Mini huntorial on foaming an item, (in this case adding some to a backpack)

You will need gloves, a postal scale, a dremel, some coathanger wire, and a couple cups from your favorite fastfood restaurant, plus some two part foam.

I got the lightest weight Silpak had at the time, its "4 pound" foam.

Bend the wire into a loop at one end, then the other goes into your dremel. Voila', paint or solution mixer.

Prop your item up so the area to be foamed is at the bottom and will hold the liquid till it foams up.

Pour an ounce by weight of the isocyanate solution (small bottle marked #1) into one cup, and two ounces by weight of the other solution into another cup.

Pour the first into the second cup, getting all of it out into the other cup, and then mix it for 20 seconds.

Then pour where you want the foam to go.

I found that the two ounces covered about 9" by 3" area and rose about twice its size, maybe more.

IMG_1045.jpg

I mixed another batch, this time a half ounce/one ounce amount, and filled in the left corner of the backpack where I had missed....

OOOOPS, a little too much :0

IMG_1047.jpg

Let it set for about a half hour to an hour and go do something else; in my case we went and had dinner....
after dinner I primed and painted it.

Here's the backpack with the base coat of grey with prosaide, plus another coat of grey without prosaide on it.

I looked at my shinguards and noticed one was a different color than the other one...

IMG_1049.jpg

I was wondering why, and my eagle-eyed better half said it looked like theres brushmarks on the darker one.

Yup, one was weathered, and the other wasn't, so using the last bit of light, I weathered the other one up.

IMG_1050.jpg

No more light to paint by, so I called it a night
