Wow. Cool Trailer. I thought the first game was fun... but kind of flawed. (Moving that star destroyer with the force turned out to be incredibly boring) But here's hoping they've improved upon the first one.

I picked up the first one once it hit $20. I certainly would have been upset to have paid more for what I got. I'll most likely wait for this one to be discounted as well.

For a sec there, I thought there was a new trailer. What's there, while cool, is from December. :)

very cool trailer..And I agree with you on the flaws..Dont get me wrong. The game was fun. I enjoyed it, but it isnt the greatest game..Once I beat it, I never touched it again...

the death star scene was boring for me too..I wasnt feeling it..Also, i think the game was rushed or postponed several times?

hopefully, they take their time with this one

That's not going to happen. If anything, this game will be rushed. The first game was delayed because of all the internal company issues. They just had too many people working on the project like a revolving door.

If a jedi existed that was this strong.. How the hell are they gonna kill him off?? I kinda hope they elude to him being alive through the OT and make a series of movies and all that. But have someone other than Lucas writing and directing :lol

Yeah I thought he was way overpowered. I hope in actual EU canon that that is played down and was just exaggerated for the game. Otherwise why would Mon Mothma be impressed with Luke at all? She'd be all "He's alright, but that other guy nearly killed Vader the first time!"


The game was okay, but I'd rather see a new Jedi Knight game with Kyle Katarn. He's way more bad*ss than Starkiller.

Not me, I can't get enough. Most of my video games are Star Wars (with a few others) and I tend to buy systems that Star Wars games are released on - but after playing them all this one by far is my favorite. I just have played it over and over - at least 5 times through - and will likley hit it one more time.
Loved the graphics (on my 360) loved the characters, and the storyline - truly the prefect game for me.

I can't remember the name of the mag I saw yesterday in the store, but the cover story was on this game with a bunch of interviews and screen shots of the game - it is looking great and they seem to have put the same effort into it as in the first. Exciting stuff - check out the mag if you like it (I know a lot of folks come to a thread for things they dislike just to bash so you all I would not recomend the mag too:rolleyes) Whatever the issue it is in stores now and has that same image from the website as a cover.:thumbsup

I loved the first one. It was very video-gamey, but I loved the story. I can gloss over the pulling down the SD (just like glossing over the prequels). I'm really excited to see the new game. Starkiller has become one of my top 5 EU characters and I was really disappointed that he was "killed" in the first one. I hope they are able to come up with a good way to have him still alive.

That said, I am dying for a new Jedi Knight game. I prefer FPS games, and while Starkiller is in my top 5, Kyle ranks higher than Galen.

I've got a feeling that the JK and KOTOR games have been abandoned.

KOTOR hasn't been abandoned!
BioWare is (in fact) almost finished with "The Old Republic".

...
but yeah... DARK FORCES: was one of my favorite series of all time growing up.

Nope, it will be better. They are not almost finished. This is a game LucasArts is not rushing out. The release date is next spring. That will be the problem with TFU2...LA will force them to push forward, and we will likely get an average game.

Awhile back, my wife bought a Wii, but she could tell I wasn't pleased with her dropping that much money on something without us agreeing to it first. So, to placate me, she came home a few days later with a copy of The Force Unleashed. I had a lot of fun with that game (and forgave my wife), so I can't wait for part 2.

I'm bored with Jedi this and Jedi that. Give me a ******* smuggler game already. Hell, update the old X-wing/Tie Fighter series of games. If IL-2 Sturmovik can port itself to consoles with BOTH Arcade AND Sim mode, there's simply no excuse not to develop those games again.

what I REALLY want is a modern version of Privateer, set in the Star Wars universe, that also allows you to wander around on foot in FPS fashion. Sadly, that game will never happen, because of the Star Wars obsession with glow-wangs.
