Now this is an interesting thought. Maybe we are assessing the show the wrong way. Maybe they only wanted to move Boba into town, give him the palace and a Rancor and a lot of loyal or paid citizens who are standing by. It may not need to make any sense NOW but could become important for the future course of Mando. We haven't gotten the whole picture yet. Maybe by the end of the year when the new Mando eps are released we will all say, AH, that is why they have done it. In the first Mando ep Kuiil mentioned the Mythosaurs. Just imagine those creatures were not extinct but are found and Mando needs a Rancor to fight it or anything like that. I know this is wishful thinking but we don't know for sure.Maybe he started with the intention of becoming a crime lord... and shifted to a "peacekeeper" role instead through his experiences? He's obviously NOT on board with the spice trade. Paid protection, sure, but that kind of falls in a Marshall territory to a degree.
Guess we'll have to wait and see how it develops.![]()
The first step into the world of Grumpy Jake.
Good times…How did we ever enjoy funny/awesome stuff before the internet??
I like where you're going with that Wolfsburg; so, BF is attached to his "Master-Du-Jour" Jabba. True that he stayed at the palace for a long period after the "Han-In-Carbonite" stuff. So, was he waiting to take over Jabba and claim his throne as he saw the opportunity to make a change in his life and be Tatooine's next master? As we have seen; it's not because you're the new one in charge that you'll sleep on your laurels and not defend your title/position anymore. Nope, someone will try to take your place at the helm...sooner rather than later.Yeah my only guess is Tatooine is actually home to Fett and he was far more tied to Jabba and the palace than we ever really thought. In the OT we always see him either with Jabba or acting on his behalf. He’s still at the palace a year after delivering Han when he didn’t necessarily have to be. If that’s the case, I guess that could play some part in why he cares so much, even beyond whatever loyalty he felt for the Tuskens.
I always imagined he was zipping around the galaxy hunting bounties and having adventures but maybe he wasn’t quite as mobile as that.
Ironically I was thinking this morning that a Cobb Vanth show roughly in the same vein as BoBF would’ve made way more sense and probably would’ve been better.
Should not have to watch a different show to understand this one.Now this is an interesting thought. Maybe we are assessing the show the wrong way. What a waste of bacon…I feel so bad for those poor pigs..
True but they will surely build up on this.Should not have to watch a different show to understand this one.
Not a good life for being loyal. Eaten by Rancors, pushed off a cliff…they need to find a different vocation.I feel so bad for those poor pigs..
Terrible.. amazing how far the droids have come in 5 years.. the pigs need to learn something from themNot a good life for being loyal. Eaten by Rancors, pushed off a cliff…they need to find a different vocation.

BF is not a peacekeeper in that sense. He can not be it's impossible! The Sarlacc accident was a big delay + staying at the Sand People Summer CampNow that he's in charge...what's next? Peace, love and kumbaya?
I would go (if there's another BOBF series) with him trying to defend his position(+Tatooine) and maybe introducing other characters also (others who could be contenders/traitors in trying to kill BF to take over his position and are already part of his team).
I think that more intrigue could be a good thing (maybe à la Game of Thronewith a Western theme).
Very well put, I have to agree with youI think it's at least a possibility that Fett is something of a fixer and enforcer of Jabba's, along with whatever bounty hunting he does. He certainly seemed to be keeping an eye on things in the throneroom, possibly during some downtime from hunting? I just think it's plausible he's far more attached to Jabba, the palace and Tatooine than the old EU ever explored, which also largely shaped our view of Fett for years. Judging purely from what we see in the OT, I feel it's a reasonable conclusion at least.
