The Book of Boba Fett

Man i loved that Conductor droid, such cool ideas going on there. Also, you could still tell that Ithorian was voiced by Pedro, but they did pitch it to sound less like him than it did in the trailers.

Im guessing some of that dancing at the end came from Tem's Maori culture?

I didnt quite get that bit about needing permission to kill a Hutt. From who? Leia didnt need permission lol

Evidently that wasn't Pedro as the Mayor, but Rodriguez!

I just don’t see what credentials he’s got that justify him being involved when there are plenty of people, both knowns and unknowns, that are much better at his job. I mean, sure, he’s made such classic films like the Spy Kids movies and Shark Boy and Lava Girl, but…I don’t really see how that translates to these shows. Especially after the first two seasons of Mandalorian. There were plenty of episodes that were great and I’d wholeheartedly support the directors of those episodes getting their own thing. He’s not quite the last director of an episode I would hand a show over to (that honor goes to Bryce Dallas Howard), but he is low on the list. His episode of the Mandalorian felt like a medium budget fan film, and the first episode of this show did too.
Here are some credentials. Desperado, El Macherio, Sin City, From Dust till Dawn not forgetting Machete..
Just a few stylish movies he's made.. Lava Girl was pants but then it wasn't made for me..
Stallone literally ate the CG scenery in SK3..

Loved Ep2 the long flashback worked well and the set pieces felt very Spy Kids in a good way.. RR has been using CG for the best part of twenty five Years and certainly knows his craft I'd not be too quick to judge.
I can't really mention Anything about pt2 without massive Spoilers but can only say I really enjoyed it.
It felt right it propelled the story and felt good watching it..
The Tuskys dark Coca look is very impressive with the oh I nearly gave away a spoiler..
I may watch it again later..

Way better episode than the first one. Still have my reservations about some things, but let's see where this goes...

Anyways, who figured out it was Tosche-Station nod in this one?
Yep, and if you turn on the Closed Captioning you will notice...
...that the humans are Cammie Loneozner and Laze "Fixer" Loneozner, from the deleted 1977 Star Wars scene

Are you thinking what i'm thinking? I've been holding to a theory that has been in my head all day...i just don't want to say it because it would be a definite spoiler of huge proportions

Anyone else get Lawrence of Arabia vibes? From the train to him getting out dressed up the robes?
Totally, and the parallel is really evident in one of the paintings during the credits. It looks almost like a still from the train raid in LoA.

I really like the second episode. The culture of the tusken is a great story...but I often think...why the hell they did that with Anakins mother?
I know George made them more animal then human...and this series wants to show a deeper look...but its always in my mind.

The Tusken warrior that trained Boba is a great actor. He has a good bodyspeaking.

But overall a great second episode. (y)

I agree that this ep was a big improvement over Chapter 1. I, too, noted that Rodriguez neither wrote nor directed nor edited it.

I really don’t have any quibbles, other than Camie and Fixer. I usually love these little nods, but there really was no need for the scene to take place at Tosche Station, IMO, or for there to be a “scared couple” in there that Boba needed to rescue, who just so happened to be Luke’s buddies from a deleted scene in ANH. No reason other than “wink, wink, nudge, nudge, look-at-what-super-fans-we-show-runners-are.” Even for me, this was a little too much in the way of “fan service.”

Compare that to Black Krrsantan showing up, which made perfect sense in the context of the story.

My only question - and it’s not a quibble, because the answer might be forthcoming - is why the Twins waited five years to lay claim to Jabba’s assets.
