Really good job. Shoes actually look like they were made that way. Costume should be a hit. Show some complete pictures. Abide!!
Also, before I started putting this costume together I knew I was going to need to custom-dye some fabric. I discovered that you can create some pretty good custom colors on RIT's website. So, based on this image of the screen-worn outfit:

I put together the following color palette:

And Here are the results:
Plaid Shorts (Old Navy)

RIB Brand Cotton Robe (eBay)

Champion Sport V-Neck (Target)

I picked up the off the shelf ***** costume for Halloween, but I wasn't happy with the affordable bowling shoes out there, so I picked up this $30 pair on Amazon and tried my hand at leather paint for the first time. And I was able to order a custom ***** necklace on Amazon too.
What brand of shoes did you get from Amazon? I'm finally going to be planning out the Dream Sequence outfit for The Dude to wear one of the days at SDCC for my freshman visit to the con in July. Something like that would be a perfect blank canvas for creating the two-toned sparkle shoes.
(it's against RPF policy, if i recall, to link them here, so please just post the name that I can search for)
