Sam also commented more on the skullcap. The skullcap goes around the eyes as well, and may have a split in the back to allow some flex. The skullcap is glued in some places to the inside of the cowl. I wonder if the giveaway cowls were also done this way.

A few notes:

• The first image seems to suggest that the Fidlock V-Buckle part is a cast piece, which explains some of the discrepancies it has with the real V-Buckles and the lack of any black or shiny finish on it that the V-Buckles on the holster have.
• Weirdly, the "R Gauntlet-2 Handguard" piece in the same image seems to have the text on the inside mirrored.
• The third image confirms that the vambraces with undeployed grapple launchers use a different version that's curved to sit more flush, while the deployed launchers are straight

And I managed to find an Indigo with The Art of The Batman in stock for pick up, so I got it early. Here's some rough shots taken with a phone:



No shots of the Drifter backpack, I'm afraid.

And some notes:

• The sketches definitely seem like they're supposed to be done in-universe by Bruce, especially with the way things like the contact lenses are described as if they have to actually function. Alfred is even mentioned a few times in comments like "check kitchen . alfreds knife . collection...." for the Batarang and "can alfred source dials?" for the sticky bomb gun.
• Thanks to the "grip cast from existing model" note for the sticky bomb gun, I was able to find that the concept art for it was based on the Umarex (UX) Tornado/Brodax/Elite Force H8R Gen2/T4E TR50:

• If you look at the actual prop, though, it seems to me that the Umarex gun was only used for reference and that part on the prop was actually custom made:

• The adrenaline shot uses this picture for the text on the side:

• The prop used in the movie has different text on it, though. You can see it in the close-up when Batman is injecting it into the port on his leg next to one of the holster straps.
• It seems I war right about the canister with the circuit board-looking stuff being for the contact lens, and it also seems to mention something about it being stored on the belt.
• The colored concept art pieces are 100% Matthew Savage's style, so expect to see those soon on his website and Instagram.

Here's something a little interesting that I noticed when watching the movie a couple of weeks ago, but didn't have a good image of until Cristian Diaz posted this nice screenshot from the DC FanDome 2021 behind-the-scenes footage on the Facebook group a little while ago:



For the scene where he takes his cowl off, they made a special version the suit with extra detail under the gauntlets. As some in the group pointed out, this is probably supposed to be part of the grapple launcher mechanism, with the lines being for gas or something. I highly doubt that's normally under the suit, because there's just supposed to be some hook-and-loop fasteners there. However, there is this small detail on the vambrace that looks like it could be the (kinda odd) Picatinny rail showing through, especially on the first (inaccurate) Prime 1 Studio statue:



And I think this is concept art of the detail:



A few other random things I noticed when rewatching The Batman a couple of times:

• When he's putting on the wingsuit, the buckles that connect the two sides kinda looked like they were based on Fidlock V-Buckles a little.
• When he gets up after using the parachute, the straps on his back are gone, so those must be for the cape.
• He manually retracts the grapple launcher a second time after saving Kenzie.
• Some have said that the holster is empty for most of the scenes where Robert Pattinson is in the suit, but he at least had it for the scene on top of Gotham Square Garden. It's clearly visible when he's looking up at the helicopter.

It looks like we have a picture of the shirt/clips assembly worn under the jacket/chest piece for Batman. There's probably a better quality somewhere, but I'm not sure what feature this is from.

In one of the special features, there is a view of the side of the grapple that faces the gauntlet, which I haven't seen in any other shots. You can see the hinge of the handle that allows it to swivel, the linkages of the rail, and one of the darts in the grapple.

I haven’t actually seen any official confirmation here, but I’m pretty sure at least that the clip pieces on the shoulder pads here connect to the cape so that it doesn’t fall over his shoulders and sits on the suit correctly, right?

Yeah, I think they have the cape connected to the Fidlock pieces for most shots, but you can sometimes see that the pieces are exposed with nothing connected to them.

Robert mentions that the first time the grapple was used was the only time it ever worked perfectly. Perhaps they made the simpler Taxi Driver style so they could keep filming without issues.

On the "hero version", the gun seems to actually fold below the reel to wrap around the grapple in the retracted position, thus sitting more out of the way. Also, the "hero version" uses a shorter track since the mechanism swings out at the front.

Looking back at the image from the Iceberg Lounge, I believe that the rail actually goes back farther than the gauntlet, but was filmed to hide this. The gun is rigidly attached to the sliding bar, so when it starts in the retracted position, it must be sticking far down his arm.
