The Batman costume research and found parts ID

On the website, it says the minimum order is fairly low at £25. Shipping might add a lot to the final price, though. IIRC, people getting Makefast buckles for Star-Lord's bag from Guardians of the Galaxy said it was expensive to the US.

So far, I haven't had any luck trying to call their number; I just get message that it's unavailable. However, I did find another place that says they have the triangle in stock.
For MOQ, I'm thinking in terms of the MOQ for them to restart manufacturing of the part, which would be likely greater than the individual order MOQ for parts that they keep in stock. £25 worth would likely only be a handful of these buckles, when the MOQ to restart manufacturing could be 100 buckles.

Oh, sorry. I somehow managed to completely miss the part about the buckle being discontinued.

And back to the Holster discussion. Got this picture from Facebook and one guy pointed out that he thinks that the holster straps are inside out, because the wavy lines you can see could be grip lines like they are using for sport gear etc.

Do we know any holster with that kind of grip-lines that would fit?

Looks to me like it's just another grippier strap that they glued or sewed on the insides of the holster straps.

I skimmed through the thread several times but I may have missed something, apologies if this has already been answered. Does anyone know the size and type of elastic or strapping that is used to hold the chest piece up at the top and also the "fins" of the gauntlets?

Even the approximate size of the elastic that is woven through the gauntlets to hold the darts in place as well would be extremely helpful. I'm very bad at judging measurements from photographs.

EDIT: I just noticed the bottom of the biceps also have the same ribbed strapping or elastic wrapped around them.

Thanks for this Quarax - Just ordered x3 of the Triangles. I'm based in the UK so should be fairly quick with delivery. I'll post pictures as soon as I get them.

From the movie stills, along with the other suits on display, I feel like this was a display mistake and the grippier bits were accidentally put on inside out.

Is there any way you’d be able to sell casts or something if the clip for the bat emblem?
Unfortunately I don’t have the know-how on casting I’m afraid. However, there are some 3D print files on cults3d; of the wrist dart gun, which have the clip as a component, I’m currently getting x2 printed as I slowly piece this suit together. Hope this helps.

Ideally somebody will come along and scan the official WB bat emblem they released for display

Since the buckle is no longer in production, has anyone found a decent alternate? Finding a decent 50mm buckle has proved to be a challenge. I’ve found an ISC one that looks decent enough, but unfortunately isn’t big enough

ISC Buckle

I believe the material behind the belt is an elastic band of some sort, as you can see it stretching more on top than on the bottom.

I found some images of the mask that show more of what is happening underneath. On one of them, you can see the mesh and elastic material that holds the chin area tight.

Is Batman carrying batons? Any ideas of the types of holders and batons shown here?
Where is the cowl picture from dude?
Need a link to the person.

In the movie, Batman is able to extend or retract his grapple gun at will. My guess is that they used different gauntlets depending on whether they needed to extend or retract. I have sketched and attached my rudimentary idea for how one could be made that would give you a single extension and a single retraction without having to use your hand to pull it back into place. You would only need to use your hand to pull Spring 1 back into place at the end. To do this, you would need Spring 1 to have much more force than Spring 2 to be able to retract it back until it locks the slide again.

Alternatively, you could make an enlarged version of the mechanism of an OTF knife for as many extensions/retractions as you want without manually resetting it.

I don’t remember him ever retracting it at will. In fact, in the Iceberg Lounge scene, he manually has to load it back into the locked position with his other hand. I think it’s just a spring loaded mechanism
