The Amazing Spiderman (Reboot) Costumes and Wardrobe

Just got home from seeing the film for the 3rd time, 1st time in true IMAX so I was able to notice a lot more things about his outfits on the giant screen. Will soon be posting a complete listing of every article of clothing he wears for all of us trying to put together Parker street outfits. Maybe this can aid in id'ing more of it.

In response to him having his web shooters on at all times (which a few of you had questions about on Page 29), you do in fact see them poking out of his shirts at various times throughout the film (the main one being when he visits Connors at Oscorp after the good Dr. has gone full Jekyll & Hyde). This of course makes perfect sense since Spidey is always on the clock...gotta always be prepared! What it made me wonder was, does he have two styles of web shooters? Ones he wears under his clothing, made with the leather bracelets and watch parts (aka the original design that went with his vigilante outfit)? And another, updated model that goes with his costume? Makes sense that Parker would refine the design, as well as wear ones under his clothing that couldn't be easily identified but could be easily mistaken for bracelets.

Great question about the two shooters. I think that he has the two shooters because if he only has the shooters on the costume, then he would be wearing his spidey costume all of the time: example- Peter wearing the Spider Man suit at Dinner with Gwen's family. Also, when Peter needed to get to Gwens (During the "Your doorman's intimidating" line) he would be showing up as Spider Man, thus revealing his identity. I think that is was more convienent to have it in two places for different circumstances.

Got my camera today, in AMAZING shape!

I noticed he never had the camera strap and the flash on his camera at the same time so I think I am happy being flash-less.

That's good to know. I haven't yet seen the movie, so I wouldn't have picked up on this. I guess I'll be content knowing that.

On another note, has anyone some idea of what battery size/type the Yachida takes?

If you're planning on using the camera to take pictures, I'd recommend Ilford FP4 for black and white and Provia slide film for color.

The fingerless gloves where also never in frame, most of the time he wore that long john shirt with thumb holes in the cuffs

Did anyone else notice that his cuffs on his jacket zipped open to reveal a swatch of blue fabric?

You can get the camera strap on eBay. I saw two on there last week, ranging from ten to thirty dollars. Search for hippie camera strap, vintage camera strap or camera strap. I was able to buy one in almost new condition using "hippie camera strap" as the search words.

I think I've positively identified the bag.

I've attached a couple photos for reference.

Now after spending the day searching I found what i believe to be the proper model, but i'm not sure about the color.

I think the color may be vecchio brown like in this picture:

The main reason I think it should be vecchio brown is that the lining in the movie is different, but it's definitely a lining offered by the company that makes the cenzo bags.

Here's an example of the accurate lining:

Now, for those of you wanting something a little more affordable, search for "New High Quality Leather Brown Man's Business Soft Briefcase Messenger Bag" on a few popular auction sites and you'll find a cheap knock off that comes in black or brown.
