Yup, that's the Hyperdyne blade fitted saber for on-screen duels. The Bluetooth arial in the base transmits movement data to the crew for use in post.
There's a huge logo of the Propshop on his workbench. So it's more likely he works there.

I checked LinkedIn, but couldn't recognize him. (this is actually pretty sick and I apologize to him if he's watching this).
I'm DEFINITELY seeing hex screws in these shots. You can make out the outline of the hexagon-shaped indentations pretty clearly.
Nice shots! I think the gang's all headed over to the TFA Luke saber thread though. :lol
You sure they arent those torx cap screws?

That dark spot in the center makes it look like a rivet to me. A screw would not have a black spot like that, not even with a shadow. That's a hole.
Back to the grips for a moment, does anyone have that clear shot of the pommel as Rey offers Luke her lightsaber? To me the grips look like they have a more curved underside that wraps around the tube rather then the OT style that is more flat bottomed.
Yeah, saw that one but can't really make out much regarding the grips unfortunately.
