Terminator T2 T101 Bust Nearly there.

Re: Arnold T101 Sculpt

Are you thick or something? You have got no idea of the work that is invoved in this project. This is NOT a recast or Clay ( I never once mentioned clay?) I just thought I could share my journey. You know nothing about me you are judging on something that you are ASSUMING (remember what I said about that in my last post) I am doing. & yes ,I DID get permission to use the donor head. & when you see the finished sculpt you will see that it looks nothing like the donor.Infact with how much I have had to re-sculpt I didn't need permission. Anyone who has worked in the industry knows that if an object has been changed by a certain % you don't need permission. So before you post anything negative again READ the replies very, very carefully. This is the last time I will respond to you're negative uninformed BS & let the others on this forum enjoy something that is hopefully going to be really cool...Moron.

A sculpt has to be at least 50% changed to call it your sculpt - I personally believe! This is - I'd say at least 95% changed from the original, and it's beautiful!!!! I love it! You are truly a master sculptor! But that's just my opinion! Which is usually what some people think my thoughts are worth2 cents ! Oh,I'm sorry to hear about your accident!:unsure

Thank you Newbie Doobie it really means a lot to me. I wish I had my RPF family when I went through the nightmare of my accident & I can't thank Christian AKA IndyTaz "IndyVader" here? For helping me through some really dark days.

Re: Arnold T101 Terminator Sculpt

Sigh....TazVader... Tony. lol That happens when you have so many AKA's on the forums, lol I can't even remember my real name sometimes lol I must be addicted to the net as folk call me TAZ out in the real world now too lol

Glad to see him progressing. I gotta admit with the amount of time and effort you are putting into this redo he's going to fantastic!!! Gotta agree with Noobie Doobie in that you have basically redone the whole thing so I have no problem calling it "Your" sculpt.

Just imagine him in silicone with real hair???? Makes the goosebumps rise lol

Well done.

Regards
Christian

How is your hand doing? How are you emotionally? Sorry for the hijack! I'm just curious if you need anything.

Re: Arnold T101 Terminator Sculpt

any updates on this?

Doing the pores, wrinkles etc. All the "life" stuff on him. Double checking that his T2 Persol sunglasses still fit. He should be ready for moulding by the weekend (fingers crossed)

Re: Arnold T101 Terminator Sculpt

You've done a phenomenal job with this, asoncsm101.
I'm eagerly awaiting images of the final piece.

Re: Arnold T101 Terminator Sculpt

Amazing work you are putting into this sculpt, wish I had your skills, but hey i'm still learning! :D Can't wait to see more progress shots, will you be selling any pulls out of interest?

Re: Arnold T101 Terminator Sculpt

I think I was on drugs or something when I thought I would have it finished by the weekend:lol I did a fair bit on his chest & neck tonight. It is so hot here in Australia the summers here are a nightmare at times. It will be done when it's done. I have worked so hard on this I don't want to rush the last bit. I will be going down to the casting/moulding suppliers this week to have a chat about the best way to mould him. It's been a while since I have moulded a head & I'm sure there have been a few wonderful products come out since then. One thing I do know, I wont be moulding him in 2 halves. It will be split down the back so no seams around the ears & over the head! As for the question "will I be selling any?" I haven't thought about it yet, it depends on how much interest there is :)

Re: Arnold T101 Terminator Sculpt

My Aussie bro. Mate, this is just superb...

Can't say I envy you trying to keep this from melting onto the floor with the current temps around, but whatever you are doing to prevent that seems to be working.

Compared to the seriously brilliant Arnie busts that Stan and his gifted guys did, this is sooo good - and they had the real guy to work from as reference.

Looking forward to seeing how you progress...

:cool

Re: Arnold T101 Terminator Sculpt

Very nice work!

it is looking great, just curious if anyone can assist in the process of what is involved to punch real hair into silicone, the tools, anything that might be involved, I'm looking to start a project myself but want to have all my research done.

Re: Arnold T101 Terminator Sculpt

Hi all,
sorry this is taking so long. It has been so hot here in Australia 40+ degrees for days on end.Now it's non stop raining ??? The plasticine I used on refection to soft for such extreme conditions. He is coming on though. I know I said the next pics I post would be when he's done but as it's draging on, I'll see if I can take some tonight so you can see the progress... trust me, he's worth the wait :lol
