Tandem Build Iron Man Mark IV AND Iron Maiden/lolita

Update on the gloves, I have been busy with work and family for the last few months, For those of you that know me, you know that "work" has been "dead" lately. I am now plasti dip spraying the gloves and for the price I can't say that I am unhappy. I will get pics up soon. I still have one more set of finger armor to prep and paint.

All that is left on the suit for megacon is the boots and something to fill in the gap at the back of the helmet. I was working on an upper neck extender and stumbled across a pretty cool piece. My neck extension folded up and fit perfectly into the base of my helm and has become a helmet extension. I will get some pics of it up soon and try to create some kind of downloadable file for it.

I am not sure if I would call this an upgrade but I did find some old trophies laying around and robbed the brass plates from them to add some real metal to my suit. I also dremelled the shanks off a bunch of allen key bolts to set the parts on the neckline. Should I leave it on or go back to the older version?

Looks fantastic! any more info you can share on that StyroSpray 1000?
Thanks Blur,
And as far as the StyroSpray 1000 goes I think that alot of the extra work that I made for myself could have been avoided by priming the suit in some way before the first coat of SS 1000. Just to give the stuff something to hold onto. The foam seems to keep some of the release chemecalss on it from the factory even after an acetone and alcohol bath. so watch out for that. otherwise just please tell Industrial polymers why you are ordering it. They get a real kick out of their stuff being used for new purposes.

Today is only four days til Megacon and I am in the home stretch. I have to plasti-dip my boots, handplates and leg extensions then prime and paint. The last task is to rework my suspender harness for a stronger hold on the legs. I did a total ghetto rig on my eye lights, just a couple of LED's and angled the steel mesh of the eyes inward a bit but I think it is better than no lights at all. I am really proud of the way the gloves came out. Thankyou GlennTech for the finger peps on those. The palms are just knocked together spraps but they look nice. My boots are massive booster boots. But I like the effect on the overall look. This has been one of the most personally rewarding projects that I have done and I want to express my heartfelt thanks to stealth, GraphicJordan, Dungbeetle, shades, Indiefilmgeek, cardboardKing, zendragon, donRoberts, Robo, and everyone of you amazing builders, unfolders, peppers, and designers on here for your incredible inspiration. All of you really are gifted and amazing. Thank you because I now own one of my dreams.

Sounds awesome- can't wait to see further pics! Good luck on the home stretch - I know that sometimes the last days before a con are usually the most stressful. :D

I just copied and pasted this from my other thread but here goes.....
Hello everyone!
Just got a call from the reporter who did the charity coverage and she said that the story had gotten such a big response that I went nationwide yesterday on FARK.com. She said that she had just been called by CNN and they want to cover the "Superheroes Giving Back" story as well. This is turning out to be more than I thought.

oh yeah and the Megacon uupdate is this. Got to meet Stan lee, was invited back stage for pics, He did autograph the suit! Got some work with an effects shop who replicates movie suits and I won a $3,600.00 batman suit replica from the new movie and otherwise just had one of the best times of my life
