T800 project

First piece in a while, I also cut up the chest in prep for the casting of it, the parts still need a clean up but I may get to cast some tomorow.

Because of the segmented nature of the parts I'm not going to do to much in the way of tidy up untill most of the troso is cast, front and back, when I did the head I found that I clean parts olny to find the fit was'nt dead on and ended up having to redo them... Anyway the chest peices are done now on to the back

Hey Jamie wow incredible work! I'm late to this thread :facepalm .Your progress pics and you tube clips are awesome!!

I've got a couple of questions if thats cool: You mentioned using a resin body and head for the master forms, where did you get it?

annnnd are you planning on the t800 being free standing? I was just thinking that's going to be pretty top heavy when you've finished

I got the resin kit from a mate and we have a arrangment so that the parts clean up will leave him with a finished resin one and me with the aloy one. I am planing on making it free standing on a counter weighted base, I guestimate the completed weight to be around 130 kg, it's going to be fully areticulated and I like the idea of been able to choose the pose as I like, I thing even having him in the "just arrived atlas pose" would look good to....

This is just awesome work. And those last pictures just remind me of an archeological dig where they discovered this piece and is putting it back together.
