Hi everyone, I'm new here and just wanted to show what I've been working on the last few weeks, I'm building a t800 endo arm from woods yes wood! lol just want to see what you guys think. It's not finished yet but I have roughly lauded the pieces together to show how it will look once completed. Now can anyone tell me how to post pictures :/

IMG_3376.JPGso this is it roughly pieced together, what does everyone think? sorry couldnt rotate the pic :/

Wow that's nice. I think it would look great as a stand alone art piece. Sanded and stained.

Thanks Master Blaster for the rotation of the pic!
Jake88 Thankyou! I'm undecided on weather to keep it wood or paint it to look like the real one

Looks really good. I think this is a good alternative to the expensive pieces or even to eventually mold and cast.

Oh man, I love this in it's wood form. Such a clever and beautiful twist to the original design. I've never seen that kind of visual before. Great!

Also, this really belongs in the prop replica section. Not really a model.

I think It's an absolutely amazing piece of work, how are you planing on the chrome finish?

This actually reminds me of the car and airplane industry when they used to do wooden mockups of stuff before computers became common. It looks like a designer made it out of wood for a proof of concept piece.

What a superb piece of craftsmanship. Wonderful work. Some of the finger pieces must be like links from a bike chain - tiny and intricate.

I am a huge fan of the terminator endoarm , and I must say this is truly a remarkable job , you have done ....very impressive....Wow !!!

Thanks Sean! I'm spray painting it, black undercoat then chrome on top

Thanks everyone for the positive comments! I'm pleased with how it's going and hopefully won't be long until it's finished! If anyone would like to follow
my progress more closely I have a Facebook page that is updated as I'm doing it

ok guys so ive been doing the black undercoat for the chrome and ive run into some issues!
not to do with the paint but i think the glue i used to stick everything together
was not man enough for the job and a few finger parts have fallen off! need to do some
repair work on that so thats set me back a good few days :( on the plus side have started some
of the chrome on the elbow joint and it looks pretty good! ive pretty much finished off the base aswell.

what do people think?

just been searching for Arms for research and this is great, I really like the idea of wood, it would be a great feature,, thanks for sharing .

Hi guys, sorry I've been inactive for a long time but I've had other things to do and haven't had chance to carry on yet, now anyone who saw my posts before will know I had a bit of a disaster where a couple of fingers fell off! Well I've had an even worse one! I knocked the dam thing off the shelf and well it's now in quite a few pieces! It's gonna be a pain getting it all back together and I'm going to reinforce the hole thing as I go, so I'll leave a few pics here so you can see what I'm dealing with! on the plus side the elbow joint and stand are looking good!
