Don't forget, that c-pillar trim should be the same for Impala, Caprice, BelAir, Biscayne - 2 doors, 4 doors, convertibles. From both the 67 and 68 years. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
The speakers are 6" Audivox rampage speakers. There's a few types (as far as wattage goes). Not sure on exactly which ones the car uses. Considering it's a prop car, could be the crap 35watters. No idea. If you go back to post #229 of this thread, scornell1 uses model # TRY-36, which are 120watt.
I went for 6x9 versions, as the 4 door hardtop has 2 6x9 holes factory pressed into the rear shelf. No need for cutting/drilling.
The "rain catcher" trim is the drip rail trim, and the other is the roof rail weather strip retainer. Again, not reproduced, however these are 4 door hardtop specific. Fastback are different, and post sedans don't have a retainer.
Thanks for the info! :thumbsup Yeah I'm missing some pretty key parts but hopefully I'll luck out somewhere
I'm going to be painting my doors soon. What did you use to clean them or get them ready for paint? Also did you mask the metal trim pieces on the door or peel them off?
Is it good to do the carpet for the doors first or after the paint job? There is no one in my town to help me so I will have to do this on my own! :wacko
I was also wondering about the material that goes around the rear speakers. Is there padding I need to get for underneath it and is it glued down?
Sorry for all the questions.. I just know you guys are the experts and I don't want to screw anything up...
Thanks again for the help!
