Supernatural 1967 Impala Conversion

Hey Guys,

The Lite Brown and Tan mats are the same mats. For some strange reason different sites call them different colors?????? These Mats were only made in 3 colors which is Black, Gray and Lt Brown/Tan. As for the different design off the mats what you see in the light version (tan) mats is actually the old design. This was the design used in the Original Impala on the show HOWEVER Kraco no longer makes this design and all the floor mats now have the design that is on the lt brown photo.............

Now you will notice above I said the original show USED these mats as the car no longer uses them............................:facepalm I will have t find a site that sells the new ones for you guys but I will tell you that the mats are not the full length mats.................:eek I do NOT like the new mats as the old mats (that we all are talking about) cover a lot more of the carpet which gives it better protection from dirt and spills. Just my opinion...........:rolleyes

Just got off the phone with JC Whitney and they sell the old design Tan I have two of them but the color didnt look like the picture advertised. The advertised pic is more of the buckskin color versus a darker brown. Either way the ones I got are the old design for sure.

Either way, they're a great addition. Any kind of driving and the carpets just piles under your heel. Ruins it nice and quick.

I think you'll find the colour change in the photo is just the photo. Looks like it was taken with a bright flash. Would easily equate for the colour difference.

If JC Whitney sells the original design, anyone care to organise a group buy? They aren't listed on their website.

Update:

So here is what I am finding. The old Design was called LT Brown, the new design is called Tan. When I ordered the old design from JCW they, in error sent me the new design as they do not have any old designs. Sorry I was mistaken. So I have this new design which does me no good. I hate to have things that are not 100$ but I will hold onto them if I have too.

Yeah I was pretty sure they simply renamed LT Brown to Tan as apposed to them being different colours. Would make sense it hapened with the design change.

I'm fine with the new design. My Impala is "inspired by", not "replica of", so having things that are the same but different D) are right up my alley. Goes well with my AV3000 stereo instead of the AV2000, and Ivory spotlight handles instead of the black. Mine will never be completely correct being right-hand drive, with a mirrored '65 dash - so I won't pretend.

If you plan on driving your Impala even semi-regularly, just use the mats until you find the originals. Your carpet will thank you.

Even if it is the wrong color couldn't it be painted with the buckskin color?

Either way I think they'll look great and it will definitely do the job! :lol

Introducing my Supernatural Impala "Cross" It has a lot of work that needs to be done but that just means it's going to be an epic project and adventure!:lol This thread is going to be a huge help! Thanks to those who gave me some great tips and advice ( Russ and projectthx138 ):thumbsup and thanks to everyone who's contributed to this thread!

Tomorrow I'm shipping "Cross" to my friends shop where it will be having most it's work done by the both of us.

I'm going to do my best to make it identical to Dean's "Baby"

I look forward to sharing it's progress with all of you!

Oh and for those wondering - This is a 1967 Impala and not a caprice. Also not a factory AC. (Yep lots of work to do):lol


Also "Cross" is temporary nickname! Let me know what you think!:lol

Not sure if we've got any Canadian members on here looking for an Impala of their own, but I stumbled upon this one located in Quebec, only 4-door hardtop I've seen for sale on Kijiji in a couple years. Veeeery tempting, if I didn't have a newborn on the way, I'd be taking out a new loan lol

I call mine AngeliCar. I'm keeping it white, which lent my thinking towards Angel/Angelic side of things, and because the fans christened Baby MetalliCar - AngeliCar just sounded right. Sounds like Angelica.
