Supernatural 1967 Impala Conversion

Yea I'm in the process of building my 67 impala now. I just tore out the old interior and ordered new carpet. Hopefully have that done in a couple weeks. It's a long and winding road that's for sure. But will be so worth it when it's done. I got mine from Miami for$3000 it's got original motor and transmission some rust to deal with but not too bad for the year. It was also originally sold in Washington Kansas which I thought was cool. How far along are you on your car?

Well just as far as starting to get in all of the goodies I bought. Still waiting on some things but here is a pic of the car and some of the things I got for her.

It is a Caprice so I have to do some conversions but I already stripped down an impala and got all of its goodies that I need. SObasically its time and money.

That's a nice haul mate.

Regarding the floor mats, you've probably missed the boat.

Kraco P1603ATAN Tan Premium Full Front Rubber Mat : Amazon.com : Automotive

They're not in stock anywhere anymore - at least not in TAN anyway - so I'd say they are out of production. Bummer too. I always wanted a set, but always had something more important that needed doing on the car. might still grab a black set though, considering mines an "inspired by" Impala, and not a direct replica.

You could always try contacting Kraco direct. See if they have any stock left, or a stockist that still shows some available. There's gotta be a set or 2 sitting on a shelf somewhere!

Man that is a sharp car, you did great finding one in that great of shape looks like almost everything is there. I should have the rest of the interior painted tomorrow or by the end of the weekend anyway. Looks like the stuff you got should keep you busy until you can save up for some more stuff.

This thread never fails of instilling me with nothing but pure jealousy! Some very cool builds happening at the moment. Great work guys and gals!

Someone needs to put together a "general" list of items in the weapons trunk for those of us who do not have the time to research it. I'm aware of how much it changes but at least the majority of the common things would be great. Lets make it a new forum because I know there will be plenty of debate.

Sons of Dis! Already gone. I bought 2 blacks a few weeks back. But I still wouldn't mind grabbing the tan, just in case.

Damn they sold quick lucky I got the call from Kraco to let me know JC Whitney had a shipment and then bam I get home from dinner and checked ebay and it was mins old. 4 available I took the two I needed as fast as I could and then took a big sigh lol.

Sent a cancellation request. Thanks for the heads up, man.
If it goes through, that's also cool. I can still make use of them while I wait on finding the correct model.

No problem, theres no sense buying something thats not the right one. I ordered a set from JCW last week and they advertised the ones that are correct but I got a set of TAN so they are addressing that issue.

You sure they are different? I recall asking Rick the question and he thought the TAN and LT Brown were the same colour. Pretty sure it was in this thread somewhere.

The colour of the TAN on Amazon looks like a much better colour match for the Impala's interior, and if you do a Google search of Kraco TAN and Kraco LT Brown, both colours look the same from the product images, except that one from the recent eBay listing.

If they are different, I apologise for the bum-steer.

Tan
Tan.PNGLT Brown LT Brown.PNG Different Designs as well as color.

Hey Guys,

The Lite Brown and Tan mats are the same mats. For some strange reason different sites call them different colors?????? These Mats were only made in 3 colors which is Black, Gray and Lt Brown/Tan. As for the different design off the mats what you see in the light version (tan) mats is actually the old design. This was the design used in the Original Impala on the show HOWEVER Kraco no longer makes this design and all the floor mats now have the design that is on the lt brown photo.............:(

Now you will notice above I said the original show USED these mats as the car no longer uses them............................:facepalm I will have t find a site that sells the new ones for you guys but I will tell you that the mats are not the full length mats.................:eek I do NOT like the new mats as the old mats (that we all are talking about) cover a lot more of the carpet which gives it better protection from dirt and spills. Just my opinion...........:rolleyes
