Hi, Kris:
I'm sending this email to you became I'm a graphic artist and came across the Prop Replica Forum the other day. I wanted to save the people who are working on the "Daily Planet" paper prop a bunch of time. Since the Forum is closed to new members, I decided to track down a poster. Here's the copy for the article on the newspaper, which I was a ble to gleen from a couple sources.
Hope it helps.

WHERE HAS HE GONE?
It has been 2 months since any sighting of Superman has been reported and concern has arisen amongst the general public of Metropolis - where has he gone?
Gone are the days when a familiar comfort was felt at the flashes of red and blue in the sky high above, protecting us from the evils of today's society. After such a long period in which we could leave our windows unlocked at night and our children could safely play on the streets, a cloud of gloom and apprehension has descended over the city like an invisible blanket.
There has been an almost immediate backlash to the Superman "no show" with an unprecedented rise in the crime rate in the city.
Many are asking what did we do before Superman? Certainly the City Council has no answer. It is as if they have entirely redirected their budget away from peace keeping forces during the "Superman Period," although who knows where to as our Health and Transport services are in a dismal state. Even with these increased crime rates the response from the Mayor has been slow and the distress on people's faces is beginning to show.
There have been many theories as to his disappearance. At the top of the list is a major concern that another evil mastermind reminiscent of earlier attempts by Lex Luthor, the millionaire venture business man who obtained remnants of Planet Krypton with its destructive qualities that weaken Superman's powers, has captured Superman with the intent to destroy him again.
Other theories range from suggesting Superman might have returned to his home planet in the attempt to find any remnants of life, to the wacky where Superman may be on vacation because he needs the rest.
Whatever the answer, the real question lies in how we find out where Superman has gone when we have no leads to follow. Even Clark Kent, reporter for this very newspaper who is the main link between the public to Superman, is not available for comment at this time, but is away on business and unable to be contacted.
It is hard to determine what is the major concern that lives in the hearts of all the locals of Metropolis, concern for Superman's own safety or concern for themselves and their children's safety, at the drastic increase in crime within the city precincts. The idea of Superman probably allays more fears that the crime rate statistics are reduced rather than the amount of work Superman actually does to ensure the crime rate stays low. Even though he is super human, he cannot be everywhere.
Superman is the prevention, not the cure and as such the local Council should not be avoiding the serious issues of the city and relying totally on Superman for all the crime prevention of the city. If anything, this/the mysterious disappearance of Superman has shown us it is true.[/b]
