Superman: Legacy

I rather like it...Colours are good, basic idea seems solid and workable...The logo on the cape is cool, the cape length too, rocks...I'm not against anything seen here in these newer pics...The seated one had me asking questions, and perhaps these would have done better as a "first look"...But ah well..Looks fine to me, so far...

What versions of Superman have had the logo on the cape? Was it just a toy/marketing thing from the 90's?

For the life of me I can't think of any movie, TV, cartoon, etc, with the logo on the cape; but I know deep in my soul that kindergarten aged me had a Superman shirt with a velcro cape that had the logo on the cape.

I do like the cape logo, just trying to wrap my head around if it's really "new" or a callback to anything.

I can't remember when they first started doing that though. It might have been the film. But it might have been the comics.

Really? The Christopher Reeves one?

I must just have zero memories of camera angles from behind the character in that flick. lol

The awesome cape and shorts make up for the rest of the suit for me. But I'm a traditionalist when it comes to the "S". Now it's reminiscent of a circle-slash...what are you busting exactly?

That's the Alex Ross Kingdom Come design. Outside of the "classic" Superman. This is my absolute favorite take on the Superman design.

Oh, I know. Wasn't a fan then either...but I was cool with it, because IIRC it was specifically intended to be thought of as future-version, or alternate-universe, or something like that. Making it mainstream feels weird to me.

Huge Ross DC fan, BTW:

While we're on the subject of the Kingdom Come version of the suit, I still think the suit they made for Brandon Routh for the "Arroverse" Flashpoint crossover is the best version of the Superman suit ever put on screen:

They swapped out the black "S" logo and belt at the end or the story arc, as Superman had taken on a lighter tone (the black costume elements being tied to him mourning the deaths of friends he couldn't save):
