I'm beginning to think the Dawn of the Dead remake was his best movie because it's the only one he's made that wasn't done music video style. I still think the Johnny Cash song at the beginning was the coolest opening titles sequence to a horror movie ever.

I actually thought the ending was the best part. it was the suckerpunch you didn't see coming! any movie can have (and most movies) do have a happy ending and the hero saves the day... kinda nice change to see for once that ...spoiler alert

I'll wait for the uncut version for 5.00 at walmart lol. Looks good but I like a storyline to go with the action.

you didnt see the ending coming? i thought the movie was really predictable....

beginning was crap, middle was crap, ending was decent

watching 3/4's of the movie was torture.....My friends and I were considering walking out a few times.....paying 12.50 each kept us there

way too much sloooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww mooooooooootiiiiiioooooooonnnnnnn.....it was overdone....and the movie dragged on too much....the story wasnt great....

there has been dozens of movies with the same ending, but those movies were executed perfectly.....this movie was poorly executed.....never hated a movie soo much...

Yall are out of your mind. 300 Was good. The directors cut of watchmen is an amazing movie. 300 is SOOOO over rated. Sucker punch was ok. I saw it tonight. Would have been way better if it was an R rated version.

Just read that they cut the whole sex scene with Jon Hamm and Emily Browning for the PG-13 rating, if it was partially or suggestively shown it would have made the ending about the two levels little more comprehensible.

seriously? you knew the gang would get popped and the hero would be lobotomized in the end and Blue Jones was forging Dr. Gorski's sig to get the girls lobotomized so he could take advantage? You must be clairvoyant or a genius! :lol Yes, much was predictable but surely you didn't see blondie and Amber getting popped before the fantasy dance show... which was the point of view of Baby Doll's first level fantasy version of events... so tell me.. since they were popped as dancers what happened to those two girls in the real world asylum? what happened in that fantasy was Baby Doll's fantasy as a way of coping with what was happening on the real level. We only saw those fantasy points of view... we didnt' see the actual reality abuse being played out and only got a hint of it at the end when she was lobotomized and walked back to her cell as she walked past the kitchen, the burned out closet etc showing she was really acting on these events and doing things that lead the asylum to consider her a danger to others and to herself. I did know Blue Jones was up to no good but the fun is wondering how the hell her actions must have looked on the real level as she was in her fantasy land acting it all out in 2 different levels of fanatical mental states!

I agree though that the slow motion action shots were over done... and this film could have been so much better if they didnt' water it down for a PG-13 rating... they should have just went for it and made this an R rated movie... I would have like to have seen paul verhoeven direct it... at least we would have seen Vanessa Hudgens brains actually existing her skull! :sick

Saw it tonight and loved it, not as much as Watchmen but i still loved it. Will see it again with my wife and when the director's cut comes out it will certainly be a part of my collection. That's my 2 cents with out getting into arguments and spoller territory.

Yep that is something which I kept wondering during the ending. It is very open ended and I have been reading lot of other theories and interpretations, still nothing seems to be really conclusive. It is cool in a way as it continues to offer new perspective of the film and keeps it interesting.

Here is another theory I read online on IMDB, which was explained in much detail there.

Rocket, Amber and Blondie never existed. They are just part of the main character's imagination and/or personality.

interesting spoiler idea Vivek... although those girls did exist as they were in the "theater room" when BabyDoll is first brought there... but that doesn't necessarily mean they were actually a part of the actual events reflected in the fantasy adventure... but it was said
that she helped a girl to escape so we do know that one of the girls (Sweet Pea) got out because of her actions in trying to free herself and others

the more one thinks about the levels the deeper it gets... its just too bad this film didnt' get the treatment Inception did.

They're introduced fighting in the "theatre" when the stepfather and the orderly escort her into Lennox House in the "real" world.

haha! yes, and the girl who would be Sweet Pea is on the stage on the bed and she and BabyDoll make eye contact and there is either some kind of knowing or BabyDoll just incorporates her into her level of fantasy madness.

STill not sure if she was only trying to set herself free or if she was really trying to get them all out...

while everyone else thinks it sucked, I am of the mind to see it again. :lol

Yeah, there's a good case to be made that the first frame of Baby Doll with her back to us with the Proscenium Arch is Snyder putting the audience on notice that he's telling a story about story and when Baby Doll is introduced into Lennox House, Madame Gorski is already using her "therapy" to echo Baby Doll's predicament. Proving it's Sweet Pea's story all along.

All the critics and everyone saying this movie sucks is tasting the frosting and not the cake. There's a lot going on, here, and I'm guessing nickytea will be along any moment to set you all straight. :lol

There was way toooo much frosting and not enough cake....more like crumbs

Dont get me wrong....i will sit through a slow movie to get to the ending....just when i got to the ending of this film, i just didnt give a ****

hell, i was ready to kill them myself

Yes, that's the first thing I remembered when I read that theory as well. I didn't really buy into that theory, though still a wild idea.

Ha.. glad I am not just the crazy one then :lol. I am really contemplating to do that next week or so, just to connect the dots with the various theories about the real world and other levels.

I didn't really love the film, I liked it and enjoyed it more for the visuals than anything else. But yeah any movie without a real story and deeper character development can only rely on visuals for so long. Still I applaud Zack Snyder for trying something new and original. Watchmen is still one of my favourite comic book adaptations and I am really hoping he will succeed in giving Superman the proper big screen treatment it duly deserves.

I don't mind being in the minority of actually liking it. yes, it needed some work but I think it works when you are a part of the madness that she has created.
you are a part of the mental insanity and can't get out. perhaps that's what it is like being a mental patient. :lol
