Studio Scale TIE Fighter

An update on where I fall on that list would also be greatly appreciated :thumbsup

What I'm owed:

1 TIE Fighter
2 TIE Interceptors
2 Y-Wings

Rolando, your package is also slated for next shipment if I understood. I'll update a new list the second I have it finalized.

Cosmic X, the new Y wing proto is almost completed. That's all I know at this point. From the information I have heard, it will be worth waiting for, it will be so much more accurate to the screen model than previous renditions of the bird.

Dave :)

I won't know anybody else's status until I get the final list back from Steve on ship day which is Friday. I'll update as soon as I can guys. :)

Dave,

kinda off topic here, but next time you talk to Steve, is there any chance to get an update on the availability of the Y-Wing?

The Y release is a few months away. The cockpit is finalized and in the hands of the master John C, who is making the final preps to the cockpit.

The interior just left me into his hands. (last week)

The Y will be offered in several configurations. One of which will no doubt dumbfound the masses/enthusiast. :) It did me...

Jaimey, I cannot wait to see what you've cooked up. :)

What I can tell you is that pretty much EVERY detail within the ILM "hero" cockpit was ID'd. There were a couple of enigmas that threw me off, (little tuble like stuctures). Very small parts and difficult to determine what they were at that.

John has some awesome mods he's making right now to enhance what I built to interlock with the main cockpit opening. (Can't wait myself to see the results) :) A few mods to the canopy, firewall, and he's then going to plate the individual cockpits to match the two distinct cockpit versions.
As a group we're fired up! Every one of us is dying to see the end results.

BTW Steve just sent out a bunch of Tie kits this evening.... Talked to him as he was delivering.

That all sounds great and makes even harder to wait for kits release!!
Will this come this year or most probably next year?

Guys I'm pretty confident that all remaining backorders aside from the Y wings are going to be shipped pretty shortly. Steve's been super busy but that was the general plan in our last two conversations. If he gets time I'll post the list of the latest shipments. Once the last known backlog orders are shipped, I will have a special price on 3 of the older version TIE standard kits which are ready to ship. Since they are the older body style, The price is gonna be pretty fantastic. These are what is left since everyone who ordered got upgraded to the newer two piece body style. I'll post more info soon. I'll be following that up with an interest list for those wanting either a Standard, Hero or Interceptor TIE. Those will be sold in mixed lots of 5 kits. I will first create an interest list and see who wants what, then Steve will make the 5 kits, then once they are boxed and ready to roll out, I'll accept payment. From now on, this is how it will work. Nobody pays and waits, no payments until the kits are ready.

Dave :)

Is this correct?Isn't this the part(cast?) that is used on Y-wings?

I think Darkside72 was meaning the "hero front cockpit was fully ID'd", not the ceiling or consoles because most of the parts used on the master on those areas arent the original, but who cares ? This is hard to see into the cockpit and most people dont even know how the cockpit tub/ceiling of a hero TIE Fighter looks like ! The most important for this baby is IMHO the wing and outer copkit ball details which are well nailed by Steve ! If I had the cash, I would buy one of those, with the armature of course (and the original koolshade !) :love
