Studio Scale TIE Fighter

Hey folks, I'll be posting a shipping schedule for this friday and next friday later this evening. It will include who is getting their shipment on the list. I'm gonna update again next week to verify for the following friday shipment. That will likely be the last shipments of the backlog. :) There may be some straglers out there that pop up, but we'll take care of them as they arise. Some of the folks that I post have likely already been informed via pm etc, but I'm listing them anyway. Just so we all know where we are in this thing. LIke I said in an earlier post, he's averaging 5 kits per week, but some guys ordered multiples, so don't necessarily expect 5 different guys each week if you know what I mean? :)

I am not sure if its too late or what.
The way I understood it, was there was going to be 20 or so made and then no more for awhile.
I was on that interest list but I dont know what happened to it.
 
Hi Dave, any word on how the molds are holding up after doing the first batch of 20-25? Will the same molds be used for new orders, after all the backorders are filled?

From what I gathered these are pressure-cast, so it might be a moot point.. just curious. From the looks of the new Tie, I'm very interested (Hero Version/Metal Armature).

Last we discussed moulds, they were holding up great. Steve always remoulds before things get ugly so no worries on that.

As a side note, sorry I didn't get around to posting the shipping list, but I got busy last night. I'll do it today sometime. :)

Just to add my name to the list. I purchased one Tie std (resin wings) and one Tie Interceptor in February 09. I also ordered one Y-wing at the same time.

Later email exchanges in April (or was it May?) and I upgraded to the metal armatures for both Ties. Steve recently said I'm on the shipping list so that's where I'm at and I'll wait my turn. I owe Steve a little additional funds to cover for the metal armatures but he said he would email me once the kits were ready to ship.

Dave- would appreciate if I could be added to the list for the sake of posterity- many thanks. By the way I'm UK based.

All four of these backlog orders shipped this past weekend.

Steve needs to explain the reason to me...at least...

I know nothing aside from the names I posted. Eric, I do know your TIE is boxed. All I can tell you is that another batch goes out this week and Steve is doing everything possible to get the oldest backlogs out first. He can only pump out so many per week. Don't forget that some guys ordered multiple items. Steve is averaging 3 orders out per week, but this past week he got 5 so that tells you things are beginning to speed up now. Hope that helps. :)

Just got off the phone with Steve, he said the delay on yours was simply an armature issue. He ordered both TIE and Interceptor armatures, and got too many of one but not enough of the other and your order fell in the too few catagory, he has already re-ordered and will have your armature Friday according to the machinist, and he said it will ship out Saturday. Sorry for the mixup. The second he gets your correct armature, it goes in the box and out the door.

kinda off topic here, but next time you talk to Steve, is there any chance to get an update on the availability of the Y-Wing?
