Studio Scale TIE Fighter

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Well i have'nt heard anything in almost two weeks now i guess he must be pretty busy.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Just wondering, did any of the stuff listed here a month or so ago get shipped out to the folks mentioned? - sadly I've still not had anything yet?

Hey everybody,

I have been working on filling all orders. I currenlty have 3 ROTJ ATST (doing molds for new legs now), 10 TIE Interceptors, 7 TIE Fighters and 3 Y Wings complete. (thats alot of work)

Ive taken it upon myself to add upgraded parts to the interceptors and Tie fighter kits even though the original parts had already been made. Thats taking a kit longer than id like but they are far more accurate than the current ones.

Those of you waiting for a TIE kit that would rather just have the current Cockpit frame, canopy, hatch and rear section shoot me a email and i 'll send it with the parts the kit currently has.

Those that have waited I know its been a long ordeal... the oly reason i need to take a new order is help with cost of resin and shipping. Im not doing any runs.. just the one here and there to keep the kits going out.

Below are current kits in line for shipping.. off the top of my head..

TF and 2 y wings rolando
TF and Interceptor Gort
ROTJ (new legs) Nils/Gonk27 (can send right away if you guys want the legs as they are.. to small but cast and ready to go)
YWing Daytona
Tie wings Dean
GF replace damaged TW and hull details
remainding Interceptor orders...

and there are only a few others to take care of then i'm caught up.

There is one in transit.. TIE and Interceptor in post now to Eric.

I am working as fast as I can.. trust me...

I got in a hole and i'm digging out I can see daylight! If you have questions about your order please call me or email

I'll try to go through my PM box here and catch up..its like 33 pms. The best way to get ahold of me is call me or email. The kits are shipping. I'll try to keep my pms answered.

I know it doesnt matter to most of you but we had a pretty serious family crisis the past couple weeks that required my full attention. Through it all I continued to crank out owed kit, hence a basement full of parts. I will continue to do so until everone is satisified. On average i'm sending out 4 - 5 kits a week.

Thanks guys.. heres my info again.

Unfortunatly I DO NOT visit the forum much this past few months. I'm trying to stay focused on running kits and not get distracted by so many great builds on this forum. You can spend hours here admiring the work others are doing here!

Hello, I go 5 months waiting for an INTERCEPTOR and an ATST, I have changed 30 messages with Steve, and have not received anything, only excuses.
Any patience has a limit. :confused :confused

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

I waited TWO YEARS before my patience snapped. But hey guys, he's turned over a new leaf, right? Everyone tells you you have nothing to worry about!

Nick, that's a no on my end plus he missed a couple of kits that he also owes me that weren't next to my name on the list. Those would also be 2 TIE Interceptors.

Current kits owed to date are:

1 TIE Fighter
2 Y-Wings
2 TIE Interceptors

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Waiting for a Tie Interceptor here as well (around 8 months now) - and a replacement part for the Y :confused

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Hmm, that's kinda what I feared. I'll have to give him a ring soon and try to get this done once and for all before I lose the will to live....

Sorry but service like this is just inexcusable, a farce if you will, Jeez Nick, sorry to hear that, i think i read once upon a time your kits were good to go....simple reason why new blood is sorely lacking in the SSGK department....really hoping Rich will take up this mantle, youll get quality of service AND casting!

You STILL waiting Rolando? Holy moly, i doubt youll be able to build them at this rate, arthitis pending of course :lol

One month and waiting....suppose I have another 24 to go....

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Guys,

Ok... uncle... guys im working on it. I ship every week. I make kits every week.

I am plugging away as fast as one person can. The only "NEW" orders are taken care of with a week to 10 days in some cases they have recieved thier items (non TIE/Interceptor) within 4 days but unfortunately those guys dont post.

Nick your kits are done (old hulls) was upgrading you to the new two part TIE hulls but I guess you cant wait any longer I'll ship what I have. Email me if you would rather have the 2 parter with armeture.

Rolando.. The Y Wing head master is being 100% reworked upper and lowers with hollow centers.. as soon as that arrives your kits will ship. The old version mold failed. The Larger ATST legs are being molded now and will be ready.

All other TIE and Interceptor kit waiters I am shipping 3 to 5 kits a week. I just took this picture of ready to box TIE and Interceptor kits The reason these have not shipped is Im adding upgraded hatches, cockpit inserts, accurate pilots and canopys free of charge. Couldnt see sending out the old version when I have the imporved more accurate parts finished.

As far as someone else being the "king" of star wars kits... please give them my email and I will gladly negotiate the transfer of all my equipment, patterns and molds.. any takers?

I would love to be a subject again in the studio scale kingdom.

Well I appreciate the confidence, but I'm as behind as Steve is on kits, and like Steve I'm working on them as fast as I can.

My only problem is the one's I'm behind on are fiberglass, if it were just resin stuff there would be no issue, it's just mix and pour really.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

I think the non kit producers here need to take several steps back and take a look at the big picture.

Me personally I haven't always seen eye to eye with Steve in the past. Hell I had to call him out at one point in time and was really pissed at him.
That's water well under the bridge and I can say I'm glad we worked everything out and have a great working relationship. I'm proud to call him a friend.

Not only is he working damn hard to get his past orders out ASAP, new models are being developed for the future. I'm working on 4 of them myself. A group is divided working on many a subject, leaving Steve to work on his past commitments. Which he has been doing. New information and detail has come to light and I know he's been adding that to his old Tie kits.

He's a State Trooper, works evenings mostly and a married family man. YOU WILL get your kits! My point is that he's a human being too, you know? He will not rip any one off.
If you're worried give him a call. Even when he's on duty he will answer his phone.

The quality of work being done is fantastic. His castings are gorgeous today and well worth any wait. Detail never before seen or had on studio models is being produced. ANH that is :) I can guarantee that.

Rolando, the Y cockpit is in my hands at the moment, give me a couple of weeks to finish up and return the master. It's a total overhaul of the model with a lot that needed fixing. John is working on the body.
