Studio scale Tantive IV

Lookin' good!
I was curious what you were going to do about that center engine. The exhibition photos show it out of alignment, and I couldn't decide if it was intentional, an accident, or due to age.

She's wonderful Lasse !

The engines are probably (I havent built one so I could be wrong) the most scaring thing to build ! And those big heatsinks or whatever they are... How are you doing them ? :wacko Maybe with CNC styrene parts ? Keep up the good work !

Oh Man, viewing its building speed and model size, this is a crazy model build for crazy model fans.
BREATHTAKING!!(y)thumbsup

What more can you say, other than just WOW!.
I guess you could say this is old school modeling at it's very best Lasse, just you, styrene & a whole heap of dedication.
You really have created something quite special mate, she's looking awesome!.
Thanks for the ride!.
Stu:)

I considered casting the thrusters in resin, but i do not trust it to maintain its roundness over time. These thrusters are suspended without a lot of support, so i chose plexiglass to avoid warping.
Scratching each one is a ballbuster, but now they are done. A lot of the details will be resin of course.

Great work so far. I just saw the original model here in Seattle, Washington at the Star Wars Exhibit. Didn't realize how big that thing was!

When I win the lottery, I'm gonna get you to build something for me !! Maybe a lifesize version of this ! :) Stunning work !
