I have read of m19,m38,m40 being used on stormtrooper blasters and have read the a2 version were not.while over at the MEPD.net I was looking at the hi-rez pictures Clutch posted and in picture #10 the trooper 4th from the right seems to have a a2 version scope. The main reason I ask about this is I have a demilled sterling and it came with a m47a2 scope.Has anyone herd of this scope. Thanks for any info.

How about a link to the thread?

I've been over all of ANH frame by frame with the 16x zoom on my DVD player and the only odd scope I've seen is the M38 or M40 1943 version as seen on the MR E-11 replica. That one is seen twice IIRC once with Hengstler and once without. I'm guessing from your post that the picture is from the Death Star docking bay when all the troopers are lined up outside the Falcon there is one trooper in there with a 1943 scope.

a2's bascially all look the same and come in a variety of number and letter designations.

Hey Chris thanks for your reply.Sorry but I know next to nothing about computers and don't know how to link. The docking bay picture is the one,it's the trooper in the front row almost in the middle left of the short trooper. Is that the scope you are talking about. Thanks,Dave

Dave - just copy the thread location from your browser window (http://www.MEPD.net.......) and paste into your post here.
I'm assuming it was a post on the MEPD.net forum?

At least mention what the thread title is which of the many forums it was posted in so we can see this picture.
I've never looked at MEPD.net before and have no idea where this picture you're talking about is posted.
The E-11 Blaster forum?

Sounds like we're talking about the same image but I could be more specific if I could look at it.

Hey chris, thanks for the lessen but I think I'm hopless with this computer. The best I can do is go to MEPD.net forom, imperial issued armor,hi-rez stormtrooper images. It's the 10th picture.I went to your web site ( great site) and seen the scope your talking about, looks like the one in the picture I thought was the a2.I just got a demilled sterlig(looks like one from IMA ?).Could you give me any info on making it screen accurate(pictures, web sites). Also I use a magnifing glass to look at pictures on the computer to see more detail, give it a try in you haven't already. Thanks again,Dave

That,s the one, thanks Dan.Looking at it now I think it looks more like the 1943 scope Chris was talking about.

That's the scene I figured.
That's a 1943 scope not an a2. You can tell by the longer taper.

Dave
Here's the thread link I was asking for:
http://www.mepd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2101
When viewing the thread this address appears at the top of your window. Highlight it with the cursor and select copy from your edit menu and then select paste to put it in your posting.
Sounds like you could use a basic computer class.
Since you're using a magnifying glass to look at your screen I think it would really help.
You can save any image and open it in a program and blow it up as big as you want for a closer look.

I see what you mean about the taper. And yes I really need a computr class,I would love to learn how to post pictures. Thanks again for you help.Dave

I know someone who recently got an A2 scope and I thought it was incorrect, but if you look in the Chronicals book, there appears to be two e-11's with two different scopes. One of them being the A2. Can anyone confirm this? Actually, it may be an M40. The A2 looks longer.
