Anyone know of any replicas or anyone working on one?

apologies to the owner of this one as it came off a image search on Google. If it's yours, let me know and I'll credit it or remove it.

I haven't see Atlantis yet, but that's a really cool loking weapon!
Looks easy to design and machine out... And Hydin could always do the crystals!:D

Same here, I think I've only seen a couple of episodes. This prop looks really awesome. In the show does it have any moving parts? It looks like the bottom part of the front of the gun can slide up, concealing the crystals.

are there any good shots of the grip and or more reference pics? I really like the design and might be tempted to do one when i am done with my current projects. While i haven't followed the shows myself, i always loved the design of the props.

It's been in several of the recent episodes... Here's a couple shots of the grip, not the greatest. Maybe someone else might have better.

ok, this prop has really got me buzzin', love the design. So i have started bleuprinting it and figuring out the way it was engineered. Final blindspot for me is the grip (the part where the thumb wraps around it). If someone can get good shots of this, i can finish my blueprints and enter the next stage and build a 3D model.

I have downloaded the episode "Mortal Coil" and capped all the reference from that one. So if someone can check the other episodes and do some more capping, that would be great.

Take a look at the last couple weeks (right before "Spoils of War") of episodes in Season 4, they had some great shots from what I remember.

Also, the Season 3 mid season split was a Replicator heavy 2 episodes, can't remember the title at the moment.....

about halfway done with the 3D model. The propmaker sure didn't do himself any favors with the sliding crystal cover. Instead of the room in the lower barrel being enough to house the crystal, it also needs to move slightly upward in order to close the gun completely.

although it gave me a headache, i figured it out. 3D model will be done soon.

I will also add lights to the piece. 15 blue leds on each side, 2 or 3 blue ones behind the crytal and a superbright and that lights up behind the crystal when the trigger is pulled. The small rectangulars above the grip will become 2 slide switches, one to activate the 30 leds, the other to light the crystal, the trigger will activate the bright white one to simulate firing the gun.

Only thing i will probably do on the replica that the original doesn't seem to have (besides the one on top) is fasten it all with screws, so it can be taken apart easily to replace broken leds and empty batteries.
