Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Pre-release)

How am I supposed to trust a man who posts a photo of himself looking like every enraged serial killer ever put to film?
Jokes aside, since he is apparently in the film, it would be a conflict of interest for him to say anything but I feel. But who knows?

But they don't do screenings.

This is different because....
They’ve claimed they havent done test screenings but I think one would be incredibly gullible to believe that a giant corporation desprate to revive interest in product wouldn’t test screen the hell out of this. Ive heard there’s as many as 3 versions of the film being tested atm

Sigh...it’s “I just SAW the first cast screening” not “Just SEEN the first cast screening”.

The widespread lack of understanding, and mastery, regarding “see, seen, saw” is just bizarre and nails on a chalkboard whenever I see it.

I’ll tune back in—when he reports on what he SAW.

Coming from a British man no less. Often the perception is that their grasp of the English language far outweighs our "unrefined" American version.

Then again Twitter is also not known for being a beacon example of good grammar, or good sense for that matter.

This thread still delivers the salt lol

In regards to the dark Rey saber I'm not sure if it only in the movie for a moment but the efx prototype of it looks cool as hell.

NOTE: IN no way should you buy or pre-order this from EFX because it will never be released! I'm just saying it looks cool!

There is ZERO chance 10, 11, 12 won't hit theaters within a decade.

And they will break records with it... and everyone will say Disney is killing Star Wars... And on and on and on and on....

Problem is that movies are successfull if they belong to some franchise. It's not about making good movies anymore. It's just to get a ticket for the hype-train. I think a movie like TLJ at a time where quality and originality did matter would've ended a franchise. If it was not SW this movie would've bombed just like that divergent stuff did.

I have no problem with the redemption of Ben. And I don't even like that word. It would really be a triumph over his manipulation by the dark side of the force and a return to the light, and good. He has to conquer that.

But Rey. No, we don't know who she is, because after 2 movies, we haven't been given ANYTHING about her.

Yes, they're both searching for their identity. But she's had NO growth. Hell, Ben hasn't either. He's just gone deeper into the darkness. That's not growth.

****, I just hope it's an entertaining movie at this point. I don't expect it to make any sense anymore.
