Your "unconscious" self is still "yourself*, thus the force "obeys your commands".Except he tells him to "Let go your conscious self..." Kinda the opposite of Luke willing it so.![]()
I see a distinct difference between the "controls your actions" (blocking blaster bolts, hitting the exhaust port, allowing Luke to jump free of the carbon freeze, etc) and "willing" everything that happens to the characters. As I said it's lazy writing, it started with the prequels and has been magnified with the sequels.
I'm well aware that paradoxical philosophies exsist in real world religions, that doesn't mean it's logical.
Edit: just because I don't like the sequels doesn't mean I'm not interested in SW.
