I know it's off-topic, but just adding to the Baby-Yoda-is-50-years-old thing here. Developmentally, it's apparent he's a toddler. To no one in particular: I'm not sure how it's difficult for anyone to see that his Force abilities are innate, and he's had no training.

Baby Yoda's frowning, worried, face and his reaching for things to put in his mouth is all the Star Wars I need from now on.

Listening to the EFAP crew go over both the original leaked plot points as well as the new updated leaks..
I honestly dont even know what to make of this mess anymore if True... Also you can see clear tie-in’s to stuff currently going on in The Mandalorian with the Yoda baby thing in addition to the trailer clips so unfortunately I think it might all indeed be true

I haven't had much energy to place much excitement over the new movie coming soon. I've got my ticket and will be there first showing, but "The Mandalorian" is already a ton better than everything i've seen come out of TLJ and the trailers for TROS. They truly have something special going on with this show and it feels so much more like Star Wars than it has in a long time.

My kids are also head over heels loving the "baby Yoda". They really care about these characters more than they ever have reacted to any of the sequel trilogy characters, so it is hitting the mark with the young and old audience. Something for everyone in this series.

That's the thing Mandalorian is way better than the ST. It doesn't need many words it speaks with pictures like ANH did.

And I say this with the future "Record for biggest collection of Baby Yoda Merch."

But it's still feels like a kiddie show. A kiddie show filled with "I CLAPPED! I CLAPPED CUZ I KNOW STAR WARS!"

I mean great, Star Wars is for kiddies, and 8 year old me would think this is the best, but adult me is bored.

I hear ya. I like the show despite the fact that it doesn’t really feel Star Wars for me. And I was indeed rolling my eyes on the first episode at almost every reference. Then again if you don’t have any like that then it doesn’t feel Star Wars again. Weird cycle.
I overall like the series cuz it’s well made and is a bit different approach (which is also a bit of an issue for me). So it’s more or less what I expected (had zero expectations) but I’m okay with how it turned out so far. Wonder when Mike and Rich will have their re:View on it...
Whether TROS looks any better I dunno...If the Mandalorian looks like a Saturday morning cartoon show TROS trailer gave me the impression of an MMORPG. “We got all these ships now, new skins, old baddies” etc.
I’m not gonna lie not having read any leaks or spoilers my curiosity keeps growing as to what the hell the whole thing is going towards. Not excitement but curiosity.

I don't get the live action cartoon feel... I'm not sure what that even is.

It does feel a bit more simple than the cinema efforts, which I'm fine with as the new saga is obviously in over their heads. Maybe starting simple and building up is a better approach.

The feeling I get watching it is more like a 70s tv action/adventure show or Western. Gunsmoke meets the six million dollar man.

But, in a good way. Still dig this more than the latest movies, but Rogue One is close.

I would be shocked if they love it... I'm almost always in line with them. This would tip everything.

Again tho... it's not bad. Just not the amazing show everyone keeps saying - In my opinioning...

No one I know is really into the series... My friend who was lead animator on Clone Wars has already dropped out "I've seen enough kiddie Star Wars working for Filoni"

However, EVERYONE I know is 100% in for Baby Yoddler... including said animator.

I don’t want to be responsible for any alcohol related deaths but I think you have Rey turns to the dark side twice on the list.

Need to change that to Rey has a vision of turning to the dark side for 1 shot and actually turn be 2 lol.

I’m prob the same distance as you are from it but I’m leaning inwards and you outwards. It’s really hard for me to get into series in the first place so that’s also a hold-back for me.

For me the best stuff so far from the new management was TFA. Rehash, yes, but that’s how Star Wars should feel IMO and the added caveat is that you can only rehash it so many times. I still think there was a lot of potential to grow it into interesting directions and if TROS ends up being good I wonder what I would do with TLJ...rethink a bit or just skip or go woth a fan-edit so that I have 3 discs on my shelf...
