Just read an interesting article, how ROS Palpaptine was not really Palpatine as we know him, but the embodiment of the Sith "spirit". Well, I am just going to call him Zombie Palpatine. My questions are:
1) Was Zombie Palpatine supposed to be the same person/body from ROTJ? As in, his body survived the fall down the tower shaft?
2) Was Zombie Palpatine a clone body (perhaps one of many Palpatine bodies), into which Death Star Palpatine transferred his spirit when Vader threw him down the tower shaft? (This is where I think I am at the moment)
3) In the prequels, was Senator/Viceroy/Emperor Sheev Palpatine a clone(s) all along? In other words, until ROS, have we ever actually seen the "real" Palpatine?
4) If #3 above is FALSE, then when did the "switch" occur, from the "real" Palpatine to a clone?
5) If #3 is TRUE, then did the "clone" Palpatine(s) know they were a clone? Or did they fell that they in fact WERE the one and only Palpatine?
6) For that matter, did Snoke realize he was one of many clones, the same way the Clone Troopers knew they were duplicates?
7) Did Vader (Or Maul, or Doku) know that the Palpatine they interacted with in the flesh, was in fact a clone of the "real" Palpatine on Exogul?
#7 above is a sobering thought. If Vader knew that his Master was able to inhabit multiple Golems of his real self, then it brings a terrible weight to the ROTJ line: "You DON'T know the power of the dark side... I MUST obey my master!"

And Kathleen Kennedy would tell you, that there are no comics or books....
Just a reminder that the box office as it stands shows nothing but a continuation of the downward decline of Star Wars as an economic property since TFA. For the supposed climax to the worlds number one IP, actually number two now in reality, it will not come even close to Infinity War or Endgame. I doubt they are even making a profit from it just yet.

Kathleen Kennedy on Difficulty of Making Star Wars Sequel Films: "There's No Source Material. We Don't Have Comic Books."
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy stated the Star Wars sequel trilogy films are incredibly difficult to make because they don't have "source material," and they don't have "comic books."boundingintocomics.com
“Every one of these movies is a particularly hard nut to crack. There’s no source material. We don’t have comic books. We don’t have 800-page novels. We don’t have anything other than passionate storytellers who get together and talk about what the next iteration might be.”
Why is she in charge again?
Did she forget about all the novels, comics, video games etc, etc, etc?
I hope he isn't having health issues.I just read that George Lucas didn’t go to the premiere. Anybody know why? Was it deliberate or was he just unable to go?

Whether something is "Canon" or not is besides the point. That term doesn't even exist with Marvel but they still drew from comics to create a mostly cohesive story arc. I think the point being made is that she's pretending they have no basis to work from when a more accurate statement would be they are choosing to start from scratch, it's a business decision not a creative one.Could it be those novels, comics, video games etc, etc, etc aren't canon anymore?
Apples and oranges.Whether something is "Canon" or not is besides the point. That term doesn't even exist with Marvel but they still drew from comics to create a mostly cohesive story arc. Apples and oranges.
That's Marvel's thing. That's what they are wanting to do. Lucasfilm gave themselves a clean slate. They wanted to start over and not be beholden to anything or be stuck adapting other works.

You can't have it both ways... if they wanted to start over, they should have started over. Instead, they tried to cash in on the previous story arc ("Skywalker saga") while crapping on most of what made it beloved by the fans.
Comparing the way the two largest current film franchises were created isn't apples and oranges, you can dismiss it if you choose to but it's certainly an apt analogy. (Didn't you just compare Marvel to DSW a day ago!?)Apples and oranges.
